Wuk Lamat VOICE ACTING APPRECIATION

The english VA is simply not good enough, has no voice or acting range. My example of top tier VA would be Masako Nosawa, the voice of Goku:

Here you can hear her do 3 distinct voices and even compare it to her natural voice, not only that, she is voicing Goku in a dialect, which is why Goku speech pattern sounds different to his sons Goten and Gohan, this is to give Goku an air of being a country boy unlike his sons which went to school at the city.

No, seriously. South American here, as I've mentioned multiple times. The accent put on for Wuk is literally the equivalent of someone voicing a chinese character and then drawing out the Rs every time - think South Park's City Wok manager, but not played for laughs. It's REALLY racist.

theres several other popular threads that are all about criticism and the One thats like "oh yea i thought this was pretty good" gets flooded with "well Actually" yall are so weird actually lol i thought the player base was mostly like kinda mature adults not 19 yr olds with a complex

South American here. Going to hard disagree. Her accent barely sounds South American to begin with. Not to mention, any notions of racism is the perception of weirdos on the net that look for something like racism in a video game. If you seek to find something to be offended about, don't be surprised to find it. It's weirdo terminally online behavior to assume racism with real world context in a video game to begin with.

If that's how they wanted the character to sound, so be it. The fact that anyone assumes racism or otherwise is idiocy and immaturity in themselves that they are trying to project onto others.

Partialy it comes from the situation that the Forum seems to be one of the only places were Negativity towards the game doesnt get drowned out by other peopel so it gatheres here.
But currently its extreme especialy about such a simple thing.

I've literally never cared about these things, but Wuk's voice is so bad and infact indeed, /racist/, by using the generic intonations witH T, H and R that nobody actually uses when speaking native spanish or portuguese. It ain't terminally online. It's a fact. You're either not actually from SA, or a bit delusional my dude. Combo that with the only food being tacos and all represented cultures being monocultures with no variation, and - again, you're either not actually from South America and just trying to do a funny gotcha, or you're delusional.

Correct...ish. Ancestry, not naturalized. And it's not not a Puerto Rican accent. It's an attempt at a weird amalgamation of of Brazillian and I want to say Chilean accent that forms a hilariously racist and extremely fake accent.
