On a more serious note, provocative dressing can be liberating (as far as I understand it), but you have to understand that there are risks. There are some very unstable people out there with no self control. I personally hold the idea that prevention is more effective than dealing with a problem as it happens, but I'm not one to force my views and desires on others. If you feel the need to show some skin, be prepared to protect yourself from the people that would want to harm you. Never accept drinks from strangers and keep an eye on your own drink, don't flirt with people you don't know at all, and bring a reliable friend.

While that is true, this sort of thing happens to women regardless of how they dress. But getting back to the original derailing of the thread people were saying women should have to cover up to hide their bodies or be treated like stupid whores. This should never be the case and women shouldn't be told how to dress.


A little more on topic; I think some more attractive (not slutty) gear can't be a bad thing and I really think having a pretty character helps a lot with the immersion in the game. +1 vote to sexy gear for 2.0

While this is a general rule and true, it's only true for women. I can go out naked, and y'know who's going to mess with me? Not many people, because anyone that does is going to find out why you don't just simply with someone that can break every single rib in your belly.
