I mean. He CAN get sued for that, as it's not legal to use dmca in that way. He's opening up a can of worms lol....

As someone that plays both on PC and PS5, he sure wasn't winning me to his side by insulting people that play on console. (I strictly played on PS4 until Shb) And I don't dislike the guy, I've enjoyed watching his streams going through the MSQ in the past and follow him on Twitch. But perhaps don't imply that we aren't capable of raiding because we don't have plugins, a high refresh monitor, above 60 fps, etc. I'm working on my 3rd Ultimate right now and I freely switch between PC and PS5 just because playing my PS5 on my couch is cozy.
Yea I don't think anyone involved is going to take it to that point, but yes regardless of anything that is blatantly using youtubes act first question later system to abuse a legal thing on the basis of "protecting" himself, which is part of what he said
"I am going to use the tools available to me to protect myself"
I think someone else (who's entire post history is about this topic) regaling other people's words in their own scope isn't ever going to be good for the person in question. I'd recommend those interested to watch the stream and weigh in for yourself. I'm not going to condone or condemn the active stream. Pyro's got to stand on his own feet and move forward from this point and see if he can redeem himself in other's eyes. One secession talking about it isn't going to resolve one way or another on people's views of his attitude.
I'm going to wrap up my end of this part as we're past speculation point.
They should, dont use these things..
Yeah I'm newer to FF14 and I haven't participated in the forums until today, because I watched the full stream yesterday and have the full context so it was relevant to me and I felt like commenting
Trying to "subcomment" me about that as if it somehow discredits me inherently as if having a varied post history would change that is weird
Yes everyone should watch his stream if they want context from his mouth. As long as he doesn't delete it.
I challenge you to find something I said that you think is misrepresented, I've recorded this verbatim so I can show you if you think so.
What you're saying absolutely SHOULD be the case, but it's unlikely that the number of reports has no affect on the decision and/or punishment.
If 1 person sends a report for something questionable, then you can largely ignore it and just have 1 angry person either way. If 100 people send a report on something questionable then if you ignore it you have 100 angry people. If you deal with it, you have 1 angry person.
You can't ignore something that hundreds of people report like you can 1-2 people.
You think that you have a point but you don't at all and what you're saying is a perfect example why a lot of the screeching about this is very hard to take seriously and why so much of this is just reaching like hell just to be mad about something.
What you're talking about doesn't interact with the game in any way, it's the same with Discord which I've seen others bring up as an argument.
Discord in no way interacts with the game itself, it's a third party software that is completely separated from the game.
Using ACT to actually interact with the game and make mechanics more easy to resolve is essentially cheating and it's directly interacting with the game.
I actually do think that Pyro has advertised addons before, I am like 95% sure I've heard him do it on Stream when asked about it which IS something they do take action against.
It's one of the things Yoshida even brought up that if you choose to use them then don't advertise them to others.
Which if he was so gung-ho on getting people banned like people seem to think I dunno why he'd give that advise.
