A well-crafted world tries its best to keep the game as consistent as possible with the internal logic of the world. SquareEnix has a done a great job so far and they should keep doing a as good job as possible. Sure, all will not follow the logic, like the respawning of dungeons, due to deep conflicts with game mechanics, but just because some parts have failed to follow the logic, it doesn't mean that should stop trying to do so for the rest of the game. They should try to follow the internal logic as much as possible. In the case of Fantasia, they are multiple ways to keep them consistent with the internal logic and I hope they do so.
I haven't played white mage, so I can't comment on your white mage statement.
