lol i put everything on low or off for this score haha.

5 year old Mac Pro (windows 8 through bootcamp) .. 1600 x 900 with custom settings based on the high preset (like I would probably use on the actual game)

Getting around 6000-6500 .. Pleasantly surprised there. No need to buy a new one machine yet :)

Updating DirectX won't necessarily help considering you need DirectX 9 for the benchmark. Newer windows version don't have it installed by default. On the benchmark info/download page, there's a link to download DirectX 9.. Try that and see if that helps.

hard drive is just a regular old 1 500 gig drive sadly

Native Resolution 1680x1050.

Didn't take screenshots because I didn't even think of it at the time.
On High I scored 8646
On Maximum I score 6463

Odd thing is I'm shocked the maximum was that high as anytime the benchmark would pan to a wide area shot (the outdoor scenes) you could tell visibly the FPS would drop.. not to the point it was choppy but there was a noticeable drop.

A majority of people will get very high and extremely high with most setups. THe engine is very well done. I get extremely high+ on both my desktop and I7 laptop. So I am happy. PErformance seems better over alpha.

When you run bench don't forget to bump up settings from the default lower settings.

yeah a photo where we can see the specs would be nice :) !

Base on hwcompare TDP, 550TI draw abt 116 watts.... lowest psu i saw about 230 watts. Better choice is GTX650 only need 64 watts. Prolly you could consider GTX650 for not worry abt PSU.

Apparantly, the benchmark won't run with other than directx 9, although looking thru the various posts here, others appear to be just fine with directx 11. Any guidance or clarification here? I honestly don't understand directx other than it's used to run games. I'm of the impression that windows 7 required directx 11, but it's supposed to be backward compatible. Thanks.

DirectX versions are backward compatible. Having the latest DirectX version will do just fine. The benchmark runs using DirectX 9 is all.

win7 comes with dx9,10,11 but theres that 9c update you should of had installed when you installed the game most games if not all ask you if you want to install it if its not on your system.
the program will only use what version it needs no matter how many versions are on your system.

This is running off of 1 GTX 570, and its the one in the 8x PCI-E Slot (had to bump it down one since the fans were getting bumped) Benchmark apparently does not support SLI.

EDIT: On the main GPU in the 16x slot, I get 160 higher score and 1.67 more FPS. Not a big difference at all.

Hopefully the main game supports SLI.
