hi, if i may, i have some feedback
your party isn't holding you back, in your best p8sp2 clear you didn't use verraise at all and your rdps contribution given from embolden is only ~200 less than in a rank 1 log - its not the best, but its still serviceable to hit orange at least
your issues are:
a) barely 95% gcd uptime, this is the main contributor
b) another big contributor is the loss of a manafication usage as you're not rushing it (using it on cooldown, including in downtime). aligning it with raid buffs sounds like a good idea on paper, but its causing you to lose a melee combo over the course of the fight, which is a much bigger loss than you'll gain by having perfect buff windows
c) perfect buff windows leads me into the next point - your buff windows should contain a full combo and a set of finishers (verflare/holy+scorch+resolution) if you're aligning manafication with embolden. you didn't achieve this once, with the closest attempt being your 4:50 window (natural alignment 2) where you used embolden before the start of your first combo and managed to fit a verholy and a verflare in it
d) lazy drift of contre sixte causing a lost usage in the fight (mainly caused by not getting it on cd before high concept 1)
e) same as above with corps-a-corps and engagement but this is a bit more understandable - you'd have to change your opener to be able to get them off before high concept 1 (i'd advocate for double weaving pot with fleche or contre sixte in your opener or simply moving the potion to 2:40 after high concept 1 to accommodate this)
feel free to look up my character if you feel like you need to verify the credibility of my advice, and i'm happy to answer followup questions should you have them

Holy shit it’s mazz
The red mage himself
How will Mario respond to this turn of events?
Find out next time on Forum Ball Z.
Sick guitar rift and fade to black
I already know how to play thanks. When your party wipes you for over an hour and a half you stop trying to optimize as you don't have the energy to do so
And I am not the topic of discussion here, bads are toxic casualism are. Get back on track
i appreciate that wiping is tiring but if you took the advice in earnest instead of making a defensive reply to someone genuinely trying to help, you'd probably be better off - lots of the points are still applicable even in the first few pulls of your hour long session.
best of luck in the future though, i hope you find the right group for you eventually!
I don't pvp, but my friends do, and they'll show me like... a sort of ranked tally sheet at the end of each match, where it shows who got how many kills, how much damage you dished out in total, etc. I don't know what to call this thing, but I wish we had something similar in PvE. It could even include other metrics besides damage, like number of people you ressed so that all the red mages and summoners who waste time ressing dead people can actually get some appreciation for it. Maybe it could have multiple tabs, even. Like, a tab for damage, a tab for support, and a tab for the tanks who didn't turn on their stance at all for the entire 30 minute alliance raid and had to be told to separate adds and provoke a boss that was running wild after the MT died because despite having 1 job, 2 off-tanks just couldn't be bothered to do it.
Frankly, since it's already in the game for pvp, I don't see the ethical reason for not having it in pve. Everyone's acting like people will melt down and cry if the end of the duty reveals that they didn't do jack shit. Maybe contribute if you're worried about that.
In p6s out of his 12 clears, only 5 of them were clean. The other 7 clears he had 6 clears with damage downs and of those 6, 4 of them had one or more deaths. The one clear of those 7 he didn't have a damage down he had two deaths.
And of course when he gets called out on it, he posts a comment like the below quote.
Personally, I don't have a problem with people messing up and I hate using meters/logs in such a manner, but I love the irony of people like FireMage who advocate for meters so they can "kick out the bads" cuz he thinks he's a "high end" player and its never his fault when things go wrong, but the logs shows how inconsistent he is and by his own standards people would be kicking him out lol.
FFLOGS is a 3rd party site that most PF's don't pay attention to. The story changes completely when all that information is displayed in game. Also, the statement is by "his standards" meaning if we went by his ridiculous frame of mind that having a meter in game means he can just "kick out all the bads" then by his own logic people would be doing it to him. My entire point was don't act like some big shot, when in reality you're just average, which is FINE btw. Most people that do end game are very much just average or slightly above it, but the last thing we need is ridiculous tools built in game creating obnoxious circle jerks of average players blaming each other over nonsense.
Why are you bringing up PFs? It appears firemage is part of a static (which you are surely aware of). Statics already look at logs all the time during recruitment. And still he hasnt been kicked. Not that PFs dont look at logs, it's perfectly within their power to look at someone's logs and kick them if they choose to and many people do. It's not even effort. It's just not a lot of PFs care.
Earlier in this thread you've also claimed that he was carried but have failed to provide proof for that claim.
I think I've posted about this already, but they don't even need to add their own damage meter. Just make it not a bannable offense to use the existing ones and they're golden. Wouldn't even take any developer effort in that case. Of course, you would still ban people who use this data to be jerks.
You clearly dont understand what it means to be carried. For someone to be carried, there also needs to be someone to carry them. If everyone plays at the same level within the same group, nobody is getting carried. You dont need to prove someone is making mistakes or playing badly, you need to prove that everyone else is playing vastly better. Try again.
We all dislike FireMage but let's be realistic because that's not how it works. While he has room for improvement, his logs wouldn't get him kicked and dying or getting damage downs is a part of raiding. I'm mentioning this so others don't read your post and think "well I should definitely never go near PF". Raiders really aren't that fussy. We just want our team members to be willing to learn and improve and want to contribute their best.
I live rent free in Ransu's head. T-cup doesn't actually understand how fflogs works and thinks it only records kills
I'm simply using his own words. Not saying things in a realistic manner, but in "his" world where "bads should be kicked out" he would qualify as one of those. Simply pointing out the irony is all.
That said, getting damage downs is part of progression when you're learning the fight. If more than half your clears have them that's not a good thing. Like I'm hot garbage as a black mage and I don't have a single clear with a damage down in p6s.
Clears are the only ones that matter. I also think its funny that when people call you out on your hypocrisy its "you don't understand how fflogs work" or some other idiotic excuse lmao.
Lets be real here though. FFLOGS should by default be privatizing players logs and meters will never be part of the game officially. That information is no one else's busisness.
This isn't some pro league competitive game buddy. I've competed at the top in fighting games so I know what a real competitive mentality is, but I could care less about someone's parse numbers in an MMO with some of the most casual end game out there including ultimates.
I'd say put damage meters in Savage and Ultimate. No other content needs that imo
i guess as long as someone would use dps meter to kick someone from somewhere
we shouldnt have those, kicking sux. you may say "then they should git gud"
but how is anyone supposed to gid gut if they just get kicked out of places?
"This is why we can't have nice things."
Striking dummies. The vast majority of low DPS comes from players not using their job actions properly. Even if you don't want to go through the balance or look up rotations, you should still be able to piece together an acceptable rotation, utilising all the actions available to you. Just going from a DRG only using Heaven's Thrust combo (and yes, I have seen that) to one that alternates between Heaven's Thrust and Chaotic Spring is going to be a relatively massive gain, start adding in LotD and suddenly their DPS has jumped up again. Knowing your job basics and getting used to them on a striking dummy is going to do far more for someone than trying to learn in a dungeon.
Sound to me you never played WoW. seriously I've been playing since WoLK and never seen ANYONE get kick out of a LEVELING dungeon cause of spec. Only happend in certain PUG that where memed at cause they usually had terrible player anyway. Also yea, I'd like a tool that let me improve my dps and let me see if someone is deadweight. If the SAM got less dps than the healer I'd like to know.
there tons of vids explaining mechanics of every fight, dungeon and trial in all difficulty. Plus, DPS chart or not, people usually tell if they accept people who don't know mechanics or not in the Party finder.
Just sound to me you want to be carried for the reward with no repercution if you play badly.
