It already does work with pet abilities. I have Swiftcast-Summon macros with one of the pet abilities to prove it, just type in "pet" after the action name.

Why would you even need to use food or potions while mounted? That's an odd QoL to pick.
Hello, everyone!
Just a couple of updates I'd like to share with all of you:
Palace of the Dead trap colors
We've received some reports from players with color blindness to red that mention that they have trouble seeing the revealed traps inside the Palace of the Dead. We plan to make some adjustments to this and once we have an update we'll be sure to follow-up. We truly appreciate your patience!Mog Station code entryThanks for letting us know your feedback concerning these topics! ;)
Great news, everyone! We've updated the Mog Station code entry forms to make it easier for users to input codes. Now you'll be able to directly copy and paste codes into the fields even if they have hyphens or spaces in them.
Looking forward to both changes! I assume the traps will be in another color or maybe get redesigned completely since I think a simple symbol on the floor isn't really enough to deter players from stepping on it.
Looking at a recent post on the FFXIV subreddit, it seems plenty of people are making the assumption that there is an additional 50 slots for key items and that these should be used for normal items. I don't believe this is actually true, and that these spaces (visible only when using the expanded inventory UI) aren't actually usable but rather exist for the sake of UI consistency.
If this is the case, and those spaces are just graphical, can they be made to look different to the 25 slots that are used by key items? It would go a way to helping players understand the way that the inventory works. It's also a little frustrating to explain this kind of thing to every person who has yet to realise this.
I would love the option to adjust the size of my buffs and debuffs to anything I want. Currently it is anywhere between microscopic and barely noticeable. I really prefer them to be very large and easy to notice among all the chaos happening during boss battles.
it would be nice to have another option in idyllshire for trading in token gear upgrade pieces of equivalent value... i purchased an illuminati taut gobtwine because i ASSUMED it was an armor piece like the rest for my left side, so now i am stuck with this and have nothing to use it for and it sets me behind another week to upgrade my main to i240 pieces. it would help if you don't have clear and concise item turn ins to swap for errors that are not exactly transparent.
i can't even make a formal complaint in game about this to the GM's
3 years later and we still don't see all debuffs on a boss in 24 raids.
Could the for your job relevant debuffs on the boss be mirrored to yourself? So that you see them among your own buffs.
I'd thought that was the case too, until I tried it and took quests that gave me 26 key items. It turns out the regular (25 slots per page) key items interface extends to multiple pages when needed. Normally, it just has a "1" button at the top for the first page (which I'd thought seemed a little redundant since there usually is only 1 page there). But if you get more key items than will fit on a page, it expands to a second page and has "1" and "2" buttons at the top. So I'm guessing it could also extend on to a third page if someone actually managed to get more than 50 key items at a time, so needed a third page.
being able to use cordial while mounted would be awesome.
hell yeah being able to repair your gear while mounted would be nice
auto dismiss mount when attacking a monster would be cool
the option to turn off display fc buffs
a search and sort fc member list.e.g sort option could be like rank
My QoL want is a very simple thing: Why is it so hard to provide more variety in glamour to tanks? Would you like your armor heavy, light, semi-light or a recolor of the same three armor sets from the 1-45 leveling process? Why not some leather with some pauldrons strapped on? Maybe some variety that makes each tank look different? The variety for tanks is garbage, and many tanks opt to throw on as little clothing as possible, subligar, tafetta and the like are rampant.
Let's take it further, cross classing all gear JUST for glamour. Make a new prism that allows it or something
We can mix and match things in gear preview, we get a taste of how mixed gear types look. The devs can put what they want on their characters too, and the excuse of the recognizability of classes is moot due to the fact we can hide our weapons outside of battle and people wear swimsuits and other glamours instead of armor. There's no logical reason for them to deny us that ability anymore. /endrant
Highlight and move to top, any party finder groups in your current zone. With Hunt and Fate groups at the top. Check mark box in the party finder window to turn the feature off. Possibly chose which types of parties you wish to move to the top in this way.
"Search for Item by Crafting Method" should be added to all items in the game if they're craftable. I would like to beable to right click on items in my inventory or where ever and "Search for Item by Crafting Method". Like the items in Rowena's House of Splendors.
Bring back mount/dismount key binding like in 1.0
Here is a list of features I would like to see added in the game.
Housing: Be able to share private chambers with friends, and have a private chest that is sort of similar to the Free Company Chests that allow you to store gil.
Chocobo: Have a feature where chocobos no longer take up party slots and now is like a Pet or Turret. You can have your chocobo out while queuing for a Duty.
Disciples Of The Hand & Land: Be able to have crafting and gathering items in a separate inventory system, also have crafting and gathering gear in a separate Armoury System.
Hunts: Add a NPC that in a certain zones or all zones that tell if you there is a A or S Rank Up. Since this feature will be more accurate than what's on the web.
We can only hope FFXIV Staff sees our ideas and hopefully adds them in later patches. :)
Quick Synthesis: please play some sort of distinct sound when the current Quick Synth queue is finished, so I know Quick Synth is done if I'm not looking at the screen, or if I'm tabbed out.
I can listen for the 'crafting' noise (hammer bangs, etc) but that sound is repetitive, so after a while I tune it out, then forget to check my Quick Synth for way too long after it finishes.
for the UI, i wish for an
- option to expand the signal/connection/wifi icon to something like 1.0's Rx/Tx with numbers and graph and in additional to that, an option to show actual ingame ping (just shows a number no need for graphs and stuff)
- option change hotbar orientations to either vertical or horizontal as you see fit and not given preset ones
Could you ban people who outbid me in the market?
Okay in addition to my /macroicon subcommand suggestion.I have a new macro-related one. Aimed at making Transformation gearset macros easier
My suggestion is to create a set of subcommands to /gschange for the following catagories: Arms, Head, Body, Hands, Legs and Feet. Which will be used alongside the number and allow you to only equip the item in that slot
Example 1: say I played MNK and placed have the Melee AF gear in Gearset 1.
/gschange 1 Body would equip only the Melee Cyclas. But if I change the gearset do that the bodypiece if the Hawkwing Cyclas? The same macro will change to that instead.
Example 2: a example on how this works in Macros, again using MNK as an example
/gschange 1 weapon
/rrpa motion <wait.5>
/gschange 1 hands <wait.2>
/gschange 1 legs
/brpa motion <wait.10>
/gschange 1 body
/ac "Form Shift"
/gschange 1 head
/visor on
What this will do is prevent gearset bloat while still allow people to adjust their glamour without having to change the items in the macros
Hey everyone,
Dropping by to share some upcoming quality-of-life updates in the works!
Planned for Patch 3.4
- Minimap
We'll be changing the color of north so players can easily see which way is north.- Orchestrion
A shuffle feature for the orchestrion is planned to be implemented.
Along with this, we're also currently developing additional feature to create and play from a playlist.- Stone, Sky, Sea
The training dummies within the Stone, Sky, Sea content will be receiving a buff! Evasion attribute has been added to the dummies according to the actual content you're training for. With this change, player's accuracy will come into play when hitting the dummies.- Additional Actions Window
The level in which the additional actions can be used will be added in the additional actions window like below:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/a...005902&thumb=1
- Battle Stance and Victory Pose Emote
We're currently working to see if players can stay unsheathed for some time after using the battle stance, or victory pose emote. If you have the auto-sheathe option turned off, then your character will stay unsheathed after executing the emote.- Camera Speed
We're planning to increase the speed in which you can move the camera using the gamepad's stick, and on keyboard.
Future possibilities
- Deep Dungeon - Palace of the Dead
The aetherpool weapon exchanged depends on the current class / job you are using while talking to the NPC. However, this has caused situations where some players exchanged for the weapon of the job they actually did not want. We're considering to see if we can change this to prevent such situations from occurring.- Duty Finder
Currently players need to click on the Duty Finder window to check the current status of the queue; however, we'll see if it would be possible to somehow display this information without having to open additional windows.
We appreciate all your feedback, and ask that you continue to share your thoughts with us here. Please look forward to these incoming adjustments! :)
I hope the weapon exchange for Palace of the Dead is looked into. I made the mistake of exchanging my gear for a weapon I already had. I felt like such a moron.
Fantasia Potion
I understand why you have to restrict completing a Fantasia with gear equipped (too much weirdness with M/F and Race limitations).
However, could this check be moved to the *end* of the Fantasia process? Something like: "Character change could not be completed. Please log in, remove all equipment, and try again. Would you like to save current Appearance Data?"
Sometimes the most important thing about a Fantasia is knowing how your character will look in their current gear / Glamour, and the generic creation screen outfits are not very informative in this respect.
It would be very nice if we could get our unsheathed /cpose as a permanent toggle. It's very annoying hitting /cpose, then moving an ilm and needing to hit it again. It would also be very nice if Battle Stance and Victory Pose ended in our toggled /cpose instead of the default stance.
An option to automatically take screenshots at Maximum graphic quality (even if your graphics are currently set lower for performance reasons).
I think this too is slightly beside the point. How I think the quest item inventory works is more like, there is no empty slots to be had, and we actually can have as many key items as we need, at all times. Just since their nature is somewhat limited, their actual amount always stays in check. In that sense, all empty key item slots we have are just graphical. I'd also wager the space needed for saving key items is already much smaller. Unlike the space allocated to inventory item where every item slot potentially have stack size, dye, repair condition, soulbound amount, melds, glamour and inventory position (can't rearrange key items) to be accounted for, key items don't have need for any of those (or maybe for stack size) and naturally the space allocated for them is already smaller for that. Even if we had some amount of space dedicated to them at all times, it might amount to only fraction of inventory slots.
Less typing when managing items, trading, commerce, advertising, etc:
- Right Click on an item, item link, or Crafting/Gathering Log entry → "Search on Market Board" when MB window is open or MB is within interactable character distance.
- Allow Copy Item Name (currently right-click option in Crafting Log) to be an option on any item or item link (eg, from inventory).
Option to show HQ version of an item when mouse-over for tooltip in Crafting Log.
It's odd and frustrating to have to tab out-of-world to a dedicated database site just to know if I actually want to craft something (NQ version is usually drastically different in stats than HQ).
Not sure if it's already mentioned but having the option to switch between list mode inventory view and grid mode inventory view would be nice.
I personally don't care for grid view and prefer list view, as I'm sure there are others who prefer list view too.
The option to be able to craft individual exterior house components in House Crafting rather than the entire set.
For example, being able to craft the Small Merchant's fence without having the need to craft the entirety of the Small Merchant's Wall.
Please revamp ui to mimic the bartender addon in wow.
ui here is too limited, need much more control of ui for individual preferences.
also would love to have 100% control of the party frame, ability to break it up, control what is and isnt displayed for every party/raid member individually, more color options etc.
ty
An option to lock the usage of our rest exp would be awesome. Situation: Would love to save my rest for my higher level job as it lasts me longer and I get more mileage out of it, but I really want to try out this new job Ive never played before, suddenly I have to blow two levels of rest (which took forever to accumulate) in 5 minutes whereas on my higher level character it would have taken me all the way to 60. This is not an issue in games where you have multiple characters all with single classes but in FF14 its a major issue. A rest lock button would solve this.
An option to show Triple Triad icons for NPCs that have already been defeated once. (Currently, the world map / floating marker icons disappear after defeating the NPC one time)
I play Triple Triad at random when waiting for queues, etc. so I quickly lose track of which NPCs do and don't have a Triple Triad option once the icon disappears.
