Isn't that the game The Spiffing Brit kinda broke because he made toll roads EVERYWHERE and yet made bank?

"I dislike the way this game is going!" Still has multiple accounts to get around forum post limits, which means paying bank to SE for a product they're "starting to dislike", hmm. Wish I had that kind if disposable income, like dang. I could buy a bunch of other games for that kind of dosh AND probably pay all my bills.
Anyway, I guess on topic since there was topic police earlier, already have been since I'm taking a break before the patch. I've been doing little things (retainer/house checks, occasional content since I have everything for this moogle tome event already but friend needs a couple things) while playing LOTRO for my mmo fix, Vampire Survivors for when I feel like having a "I'm playing the Sims moment" where time is an illusion, and the Golden Week Steam sales got me the FF13 trilogy. I've played them before but it's been a hot minute for the first and third game since I played them, I just really like the second game tho. Overwatch and Theatrhythm fill the rest of the void - already platinum'd Theatrhythm, but I want to get past floor 30 of Endless World just to say I've done it, see if I can't play some BMS on Ultimate and Supreme (haha fat chance), and just. Play every song until I get tired of the game, which will be never.
Now I would be lying if I didn’t want more things to do in the game but at the same time I have been sort of thankful there hasn’t been as much long term stuff to do which has allowed me to play through my backlog without a fear or being behind of my goals within the game itself. But then this mindset shouldn’t apply to everyone nor be forced. I think they can easily fix a lot of the issues with just some long term grinds for island sanctuary, for criterion more reasons to keep running it and of course relics having more to do that’s meaningful to make the reward feel worth it. A lot of it is fixable but it’s up to them to see that to fruition.
I personally think a lot of time and resource is going to 7.0 and other systems because outside of the graphics update he’s alluded to things that are alongside it.. also they don’t have the same resource as wow so when people say wow patches are massive etc they are easily double the size of this team let alone the budget allocation. I think the FF14 for the most part do well with their allocation but they are being a bit spread thin with these upcoming features. I know some said no expense spared where is that money and it’s simple it goes into all aspects of the game and the server upgrades and data center expansion come under that resource and budget too.
Anyway if 6.4 hasn’t gotten much I at least have 16 and other games to keep me going but I wish for others there is more to sink into. I am willing to let it slide till 7.0 to see if this direction or lul here was worth it. If it isn’t then maybe il be spending less time with the game and want a change of course but for now I’m content.
I wonder why nobody ascribes any merit to the viewpoints of perpetual official forum dwellers.
From a player who has been on FFXIV since 2014 I can literally say how the content in the game has been falling. "Go play other games" shouldn't be the unofficial motto for FFXIV. You should have a game that creates retention for your product to keep people engaged. If you don't then how can you say FFXIV is fun and exciting and that it's only because you are burnt out. It isn't the case. It is the fact that the game has dwindled in content, the devs are afraid of taking risks to create something exciting, and rewards for most content is very lackluster of materia with other small time rewards for hard content. Yes I want a brand new MMO that I hope keeps my attention and has me returning all the time and be excited then maybe it will wake up Yoshi and the devs to stop being complacent and actually take the steps in assuring a better quality product with more exciting jobs and features
As I stated in my post that you quoted, I highly doubt that the poster in question is familiar with the intricacies of the forum community, particularly when it comes to long standing grudges.
I'm also curious why you left out the rest the quoted post, though:
The only thing that always annoyed me with that "play other game mentality" is that if do that, I'm gonna loose my midsized house, with no hope to ever get another one. If they wanted to make that "play other game" thing believable, they should at least align the time you can keep your house without entering it with the duration of a patch. I hate that "you know what, we don't put any long running content in the game this expansion, but if you actually leave for a few month as we advise, we'll take from you things you'll probably never get again." If you force me to stay subbed to keep house, you should also make incentives for me to keep playing during that time...
They tell you they want you to play and do other things, and I think it's a good design mentality, but the fact there are systems to keep you subbed during that time is hypocritical.
