US Servers at 2.0?

Ive completed SOA 16man nightmare and Karragas Palace. They did an OK job with that but it is not for me. I am sick of playing games that are sooo buggy. At least when SE releases something 99% of it at least works. I went back to playing Rift and FFXIV. I wanted to support XIV with my money's now that its gone pay to play and their road for 2.0. Yeah these fights are utter jokes, and I understand the server cant handle ACTUAL mechanics atm.

Actually I could summon him after my second attempt. The fights in XI weren't hard. The only fight I found difficult was Vrtra when we were completely under geared.

And yeah AV was broken.

I wonder how easy these said fights are w/o class stacking i wish they would do something to stop this cause i think a lot of ppl cant beat ifrit w/o 6x blm/lnc.

Well problem with MMO's these days... is Ranged DPS > Melee. They dont make it worth it for you to be close to the boss. Too much AOE mechanics around them.

I already know XI fights was boring cause i was the tank. I tanked damn near every boss in xi before abyss or w/e and every fight involved me standing there with aegis in a single spot not moving.

@ Point_Zero If i remember right it took folks an full day to beat him, If you threw 5 blm @ him on your second try id believe you, but i don't lol cause melee stands no chance vs him, even with stun skills cause they don't proc all the time. If he ever got one nightmare off your team was dead.

I don't see that as a bad thing really, these kinds of games are all about making friends and obviously you are more likely to play with your friends anyway.

The problem is that EU players are so spread out across so many servers its hard for us to get together in one place, which is what Ragnarok was supposed to be about, they wrongly labelled it as a FR/DE server to begin with and I think that put a lot of UK and Spanish players off.

But going back to the latency thing, if anyone has ever fought Heigan the Unclean in WoW/Naxxramas they would know this could never be done with 300ms.

yeah i know what you mean, but you have to consider that xiv content are not so buggy cuz they're very simple in mechanics.. A fight like soa got scrip, phases , and more thing that need a "tougher" programmation.. So it's easier to get bugs I hope that i gave you the idea even if my english sux, (p.s i opened a new thread about the fights it self, we're going a bit OT in this thread)

No it makes total sense, it is also a great point you bring up. But yeah regional servers are needed.
