And also encourages exploration (even if it's just "FATE trains," you're still exploring a rather dangerous zone, especially when you get around to doing your Krile quests), people leaving the instance doesn't negatively affect your party and mobs aren't HP sponges once your level matches/surpasses them.
The other two points are minor, but for me, exploration was something I was hoping for (which is something Diadem severely lacks. Diadem 1.0 had you stay on Dinosaur Island and 2.0 had you do objectives that never really took you anywhere and once they were done, you didn't have a reason to stay... unless a NM or the Emergency Mission thing popped).
