I personally enjoy this aspect of random spawn mobs, but only when you don't have to compete against 50 botters.

@ person who said this is no longer relevant... try getting a Sobek pop @ night time in the US, you'll see it's entirely relevant still.

I hate competing during JP prime time, since it's when I'm up, and I have to compete / share with people I have little to no way of communicating with in an efficient matter. I want a fix too.

No, I'm sorry. Botting was only ever big in kings and other hnms (Arthro for example). Next to no one actively camps kings anymore, Anyone who does is a small group. It's certainly no longer a case of 50 botters, as I quoted in the last post.
The fact you think there's still thousands of botters camping kings and stealing your NMs shows just how ignorant you are about the whole situation and how basically all your anti-botting comments are based purely on old and irrelevant stories.
Don't try and pretend botting is remotely important anymore. The only things that were ever botted were Behe/Faf/Ada NQ/HQs and King Arthro. If it was Kimaira/Cerberus/Tiamat's last 1-3 windows and they hadn't popped, maybe there too. Ground Kings are getting changed to force pop. Khim and Cerb don't drop anything worth botting, and Timmy has such a large pop area that it was always more luck whether he popped in casting range or not anyway. King Arthro is the only one left but concidering every job except Rdm, Pld and Drk can equip Bullwhip or Twilight Belts, which are both very easy to get, and concidering that AV is easy to kill now and most "botting shells" will kill him to sell drops, that one isn't very important either.

Speed and Pos hacking, fishing, synth, skillup, and widescan type programs are still around, and are still troublesome. But Botting Kings and such anymore is pretty irrelevant.

I've tried to explain this to him, but apparently bots make him unable to do Abyssea.

Multi-posting to bump this thread and/or your post count on top of a dumb idea that equates to: "I don't want to deal with other people" certainly isn't helping your self-proclaimed stance of "I really don't want to flame but you got to be an idiot..."

Nowhere has "people wont help if they don't feel like they are not getting anything out it" ever been anything other than that, pre or post abyssea. That has always been the case. It's just that now, there are ways for people to get things they need while other people get what they need simultaneously. Getting through missions wasn't hard before abyssea because people would help you even though they got nothing out of it right? Yeah, everyone helped everyone do everything.

That's how it was when I played 6 years ago but obviously it is not like that now as a whole new breed of selfish players play now.

I think you'd be much happier playing a single player RPG. That way there are no nasty people camping your monster and taking away your shiny.

Actually I team up with other parties farming the same seals as my group all the time.
We help each other proc weaknesses and kill which speeds up the whole process. One group can farm time whilst the other kills. If one group has finished needing X seal, they can give it to your group and vice-versa. You just say that whichever group pops gets the drops.

There really isn't any reason not to.

I know it makes sense but alot of people won't do this.

If anything abyssea has made people MORE willing to team up for the simple reason that you help each other get lights and TEs. I've teamed up with random people in abyssea before, in different areas in the zone to make getting lights and TEs easier whilst I farm. 90% of the time, people are happy to do this. 90% of the time when I'm farming a seal NM and another group comes, they (alliance space permitting) are happy to team up for the same reasons I stated above: We help each other proc !! faster, and we farm eachother time.

Abyssea, and Trials of the Magian have made people a lot more willing to team up. I don't know why you're so against it.

You, more and more, sound like one such player. It is also irrelevant to your increasingly pathetic "people are better than me at claiming things, get rid of that aspect now!" "argument". You want a single player/multiplayer rpg, not a massively multiplayer rpg. There's a difference, you're playing the wrong genre. I, for one, know what genre I am playing, and am playing that genre because that's what I want. Stop bitching about the genre of the game and go find a game that fits into the genre you want? Seriously, they are out there. White Knight Chronicles, Demon Souls, PSU, etc.

I used to invite random people into my gruop to help them when Aby first came out. They would either try to /ask to lot everything we worked to get, mess up what we were fighting by going at it without asking or they would ruin out lights.

That or cancel your subscription and go play a single player game.

If it was that easy ff11 wouldn't be in the state its in having to server merge every year due to i dont know....people quitting because they can't get things done.
