abyssea ruined the game!
an event that allow you to lvl a char from 0to max and get all best gears for said job in less than one week while never be in a group bigger than 4 people is ruining the game.
need more PW (before nerf) mob!

Wait, real FFXI cannot be played without NMs that are 21-24 hour pops that were botted by most RMT shells known to existence so they can make money off of a fantasy game to people who does not even know what to do with a ridill except "swing at things because it makes me look like I bought my account." There is a reason why most of the player base did not do HNMs, and that is because most people do not find it fun waiting for 3 hours on a pop so your linkshell leader can get the gear that he wants and after he gets it he will just either jump server or "schedule" other events so you cannot get the same gear unless you buy it from the same leader so he can buy the newest bot to try to outclaim other bots so he can sell the money items for his new computer screen and "girlfriend." (Sorry for the run-on sentence)

What, fight a NM for 18 hours before people start passing out from exhaustion?

Besides, you really don't get from 1 to 90 in a week of abyssea. Well, level wise you can, but guess what. You got all that skill (combat + magic + actual knowledge) to obtain, and that won't be fun, or easy, or fast.

I consider myself one of the best SMNs in this game, and not because I solo'd it from 1-75 (abyssea got me to 90, I won't lie), but because of the time and effort I put into that job to make it the best it can possibly be. I have solo'd NMs that alliances can't even touch. I know more about aggro ranges and hate calculations than most, because I have solo'd my job. There are some camps that nobody goes to, but I know of because of soloing.

This game is evolving, and it needs to evolve to survive. Getting rid of abyssea is quickening the death of this game, and I for one do not wish for this game to die.

Wait, you are telling me that never happened ever? RMT shells like TwentyFourSeven/IIZergII/MadGood never existed? They never bought and sold gil on a regular basis because of their bots and selling Black Belt items along with other "goods" and "services"? Linkshells suddenly vanish because of STF interventions?

Buying NASA bot 3 times when it costed them $2500 each time. The fact that they admitted it, many times, on forums AND in the game. Their leader constantly getting banned and coming back to the game. Being the biggest jokes on Asura, even to this day they are still being referenced as the biggest losers of the server and ex-members are not to be trusted.

If you want, I can probably provide you with the evidence, all you have to do is look up Asura server forums on BG, FFXIAH, and KI, but you might want to go back at least 2 years.

And thats just Asura's rejects. Pandy had some rejects themselves (Storm) and I know that many others will know of at least 2 old RMT shells on other servers.

But unless you are a new player (which you do not project yourself to being) the concept of RMTs should not be new to you.
