Thank you everyone. I figured it out:

As a monster monipulator, you can earn Prestige by killing ordinary monsters while under Beligerency.
As a player character under Beligerency, you can kill player monipulators for 20% of their Infamy added to your Prestige.
When you defeat a monipulator, they will also drop treasure chests according to their Mon/NM/HNM level! You can open those chests based on your Gladiator status.
If your Prestige is over 20,001 you will get the status of "High Champion Gladiator" (HCG).

Monstrosity is so cool. Personally, I really dislike Limbus and find Monstrosity to be so much more engaging. (Maybe I hate limbus because of the short U-turns on various floors, and we literally stare at a progress bar on each floor? ...I dunno).

I was never a big fan of limbus, but I do like it now more than before because you can just come and go as you please and don't have to commit to entire sections.

It didn't get great initial reception because the +4 upgrades were generally underwhelming, but they later added new unique rewards so from that angle it's improved significantly.

I wish there was more Belligerency areas outside of Buburimu Penninsula.

Yeah, would be nice to have another lv.30 cap zone for Belligerency, I would suggest the three starter [S] zone since you could level in those from 1 to 30 easily.
Would love to see a lot more expansions added to the list of possible zones in general too.
Give us an uncapped Belligerency zone with lv.100+ mobs in it too.

There are three, for level 30, 60 and 90. personally I'd rather battle a monster at their peak and when you have more tools to make the fight interesting. But there should be an uncapped zone too. if you're grinding those last few levels on a monster its pretty slow in ulegurand.

I'm talking about more zones to alleviate congestion when there are 3-6 monopulators already in the Level 30 capped zone. It gets crowded pretty fast.

I don't think i've ever had that happen except maybe when monstrosity was new lol. I guess it's an Asura problem.

Retired from XI last year. The thing about retirement, is ppl can always come back......

Basically, I paid $12.95 to come to a abandoned forum, to discuss an abandoned system.

This this system has immense potential. Monstrosity is the grind the dev team is seeking. They are implementing all these crazy grinds, but the not the grind many wanted.......
    https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/36535

A 50 page thread during this time was rare. 2013-16 Was the down-swing.

Monstrosity has one glaring flaw, that needs to be addressed imo......

We seen this with limited jobs in XIV. They feel empty, because they are isolated from the rest of the game. Monstrosity should be incorporated into the main game..... over time. Perhaps, little by little....open up more main game activities for MONs to partake in.

Allow players to partake in activities outside the feretory. How? Don't know........Perhaps, since monipulators "Are not supposed to be there," the corpselight can only grant this status for allotted time (Similar to signet or food effects works). Being able to take your Monsters to Nation missions, BCNM, Ambuscade, Salvage, etc, will make the content more meaningful (Even if it is solo). MONs tend to be OP. So, maybe limit the frequency this can be done.

There must be a meaning behind every grind. Otherwise, players will not give chase, or explore......

(Using small treats or food as "bait" on a hamster wheel is a commonly recommended method to encourage a hesitant hamster to explore and start running on it. "

Example, Give worthwhile rewards for ppl who participate in Belligerency. Even if players lose, they gain desirable rewards such as Abdhaljs Seals. Thus, ppl will partake in the system....due to this item's scarcity. Players will be forced to do Belligerency pretty much, to maximize seal earnings.

Many MMO players dislike grinds. However, they engage in them, because players deem the rewards worthwhile. If Infamy had similar rewards to Gallantry or Hallmarks, Belligerency's population may rival Mhaura.

MMO players will not do nothing, for nothing........Monstrosity is a great idea, but needs love & care from the dev team to fully recognize its' potential. It is a bare-bones system, with massive potential that could increase the player population if done correctly.

That PvP system has me intrigued........Casual pvp? Sign me up, as a non-pvper. Rewards must be worthwhile however......

I understand and agree with what you're saying. I know that we currently have Monster Rearing Mementos that augment our character's and alter ego's stats.

Perhaps earning Monstrosity Instincts could further augment the Mememnto's that we've received?

It would be Interesting to see Behemoth Instinct I/II/III be used to augment King Behemoth/Skormoth/etc Mementos....

I like this idea ...but I can also see some players saying that Mementos are not potent enough for their upgrades to be remotely interesting.

....SE does have the power to change this!

Also when you're talking about grind, I don't see how 22 jobs with Master Levels to 50 DOESN'T fulfill that goal.

Not that I WOULDN'T do more Monstrosity. I ran out of monsters.
