Can the Abyssea Light Campaign be permanently removed?

An annoyance is not a technical problem.

It's an easily avoidable annoyance, but an annoyance all the same. You just don't farm abyssea during the campaign, not that complex. There is nothing you need immediately today that you couldn't put off a week or have done a week ago.

That'll be normally suggested idea. On my case however, only plays during return home campaign, or in my current case: that FF14 collab discount which only from mid Feb to early March. Each have their reasons paying subs, whether we afford or not, doesn't mean another QoL weren't deemed unnecessary.


Also, as per @Voidstorm suggested, it is still possible to farm many gold chest despite the annoying setbacks from the event, even saw this just yesterday when trying to farm Kur on Abby Uleguerand, seeing the other player standing on seas of pink chests with very few gold chests amongst em & easily rounding groups of raptors to produce those. However, it was literally very few numbered gold chests swimming on seas of pink chests.

From my experience, this is usually an issue on populated servers, not so much lesser populated servers. As someone who plays on different servers, my decision to move was influenced by this very issue..... EMP farming......

This activity is already a hassle, added on to competition......Most chase populated servers; I chase the opposite because I just wanna get -ish done haha. XI is pretty much a solo mmo now.

Ragnarok does not seem to be a super populated server compared to Bahamut or Asura. Perhaps it was simply a rush day where everyone was doing it. Or, like others stated, perhaps it was simply due to everyone rushing in during campaigns.

Some people just don't realize how much better it is if the populations are more balanced rather than 1 or 2 big and a bunch of small. Of course, if we had modern fancy pants technology like world visiting in XIV, what server you're on would matter a lot less.
