    As far as a sleeper, yes, that is kind of depedent on BRD ...but maybe others will work? Like BLU or BST's Sheep Song? It's 9 years old at this point. Lowering the bar won't help anyone in the long term. I would rather SE reduced the cool-down to every 24/48 hours.
    The age of the content is irrelevant because XI is not a proper vertical mmorpg, also people who are trying to unlock AF2+3 are not walking around in fully upgraded Ody gear, fully upgraded REMA and with primes.

    If you guys think it's not a problem, shout tonight for 2 other random players who need the first boss cleared and with no job requirements and see how you go (and you're not allowed to go as cor)

    The age of the content is very relevant. Even though the content itself hasn't changed, we've gotten stronger. Yes, there are lots of "sidegrade" items in the game, but we are still considerably stronger now than when the content was new.

    And even all those "horizontal" upgrades make us stronger over time, just in very specific ways per item. But the more of this stuff we have the stronger we still are. A lot of people laud FFXI for this specific aspect but the reality is, there's always been a ramp of growth like any other MMO, it has historically just been much, much more shallow.

    I can't even remember the last time I went into Dya D, probably pre covid, I've pretty much been retired since covid

    You get to a point where it's not end game anymore, it's just annoying as you can't get enough people to do anything

    Dyna D is over 7 years old, FFXI was released in 2002, 7 years later we had 4 expansions, what have we had in the past 7 years???? Content has to be adjusted to volume who want to do

    People aren't doing it as much because they're doing sortie and... that thing you need Kupofreid for that i forget what it's called.

    Where do you get 10 mobs, if you know what you are doing (Especially in Dynamis D San D'Oria you shouldn't get more than 5) It takes a lot of Studying how the pull dynamics work and you might need a party separate Sacrifice Puller for the first statue pull when the group pops but it's definitely doable.

    Talking about casual and newer players here, that don't know how the content works or have well geared key jobs.

    The goal should be to allow players to get the clears, to make grouping a positive experience (not get wiped instantly). There is a reason Dyna D has no wait time, even on Asura.

    Their solution was to make boss clears not required to unlock your upgrades.

    So you just want to give people who haven't prepared anything or made the effort to learn the game or acquire at least Ambuscade gear a participation trophy? I only have a Dynamis D Bastok win on WHM (and that was with a group who was doing Dyna D at the time and I was just an Add because they needed a Healer). I'm not expecting to get the other wins because I only have one other person I play with 2 days a week now. You want the status, but don't want to make the effort. Dynamis D isn't casual content. You can appropriately gear up and master a job to be able to do it though, and you can mostly do it solo

    How cool would it be if we could "charge" or "change" our Dyna-D run to become upgraded to a "Statue Crusher" event for just our alliance entering at that time? Maybe a gil-sink? Maybe pay 5M gil to Aurix and get your Alliance's own personal Statue Crusher campaign to Aurix? Maybe give Aurix an Altana's Repast? ...Hmmm. Tough decision but fun to think about!
