Vana'Bout Round 2 Rollout Unfair to Those Seeking Title

So for example, there can be three rank 1, sharing it, but the one after those is 4th, not 2nd, so all in all only 10 people will still fit into the list of 10

well if 10 people are tied, they will all be 1st. Then the next 11th. so yeah, it doesn't appear to matter who got there first. (it's only going to be within a 24 hour span anyway...)

It also seems to be per server, so there is at least going to be more people than you might expect recieving the title. But it certainly seems possible that some servers may have more than 10 people get the title due to a tie- it doesn't have to be 1st place, if there's a tie in 10th, thats still more titles awarded.

But given there's a 0% chance of overtaking someone who does all their daily activities, this really isn't an interesting competition, I'm not sure why they thought this was a good idea. I like a little friendly competition, but this ain't it.

Now that Vana'Bout is over, the results for the title ranking are even more unfair than I previously considered. Speaking for Bahamut, there are exactly 10 "rank 1" winners, and the second-highest score (highest 'non-perfect') is at rank 11. Here's the thing, though... several of the 10 winners are all the same person. So, one person on the server dragged his alternative accounts along with him while he did the objectives, and basically stole the title from other players who actually deserved it.

Again, SE should award this title to players who have achieved some high but reasonable threshold of plaudits, or at the very least, expand it to more than just 10 "players" (really fewer than 10 on Bahamut at least). Perhaps award it to the 10 highest scores, not counting ties?

I do suspect a little that they realise that it wasn't a good idea to do it like they did, but we'll see...

I got kind of cut off from doing whatever objectives I still wanted to do due to not being able to buy Crysta after their recent payment system changes (been using the same card for years, and now it suddenly doesn't work, though it is still supported and all... o whell).

Yeah, i honestly suspected the same, one multiboxer would claim 6+ titles.

This was a problem duing the Feast days of PvP in FFXIV as well. The community was small enough that it wasn't that hard for someone to claim multiple top 100 rewards by ranking up multiple accounts. To be fair, you had to be reasonably good to pull that off in the time available and it wasn't multiboxing, so its not like they didn't earn it, but i'd rather 100 prizes go to 100 people.
