Perhaps also users who log in once or twice a week who realised they don't have a shot at meeting the personal goals.

Perhaps users who don't have an extra half an hour per day because they're working toward other in-game goals, whether they like the idea of Vana'Bout rewards or not.

Perhaps users who have no reason to do Ambuscade in the first place and consider the rewards underwhelming.


Still, there's a couple of thousand of us going at it. Just can't leave those boxes unchecked.


I really hope they spread it out across all events. Even Garrison and Ballista!

A shame they couldn't look at the incentive end of it too. I've been doing dailies, but I really don't know why I should keep it up when it feels like an absolute chore and saps all my motivation to play, and the most I seem to have to look forward to is maybe 23,000 exemplar points. That's a fraction of a Peach Power, and at least that only eats ten minutes every hour.

Honestly, why is the dead line Christmas? Why is this event only 2 weeks? Who's going to burn out 2 weeks leading up to christmas for this event? ....What do they expect people to do December 26 - January 1st? Also the rewards are not enticing or exciting enough to go back to Ambuscade.

All of this makes me very sad and upset, so I just will do Sortie, Odyssey and AMAN Trove.

Looks like we're on track now. Now that the goal is 25% of what it was. Because of "congestion" apparently; yeah, those 2 to 5 minute waits at peak hours were definitely why we only made 3% of the goal the first two days...

The responsible thing to do would be to just emergency maintenance, take away the RoEs, cancel the whole thing, and apologize and offer anyone with plaudits a few abdhaljs seals or one of those stupid ethereal weapon kupons as compensation for their lost time. Send the whole affair back to the drawing board, because this was spectacularly poorly planned, designed, and executed, and it frankly just makes everyone involved - players included! - look bad.

All they really had to do was give assignements for a variety of content instead of just ambuscade.

Or, just off the top of my head here... take the 7 objectives that weren't literally "don't fail at three ambuscades", make them worth 25 plaudits each, and cap plaudits per person from dailies at 100 per day of the event. Win your three ambuscades, do three other things, and you're done. Miss a day? Do the other four and you're caught up.

If they want to do this better the next time, the smart thing would be to take the system from Omen that tracks objectives, and find a way to make it portable. Put it into whatever content they want to boost, have it give plaudits instead of a tenth of a job card. And run it on more than one type of content; make it, like, Campaign and Sortie, or Odyssey and Ambuscade, one thing people really want to do and one thing that's not as popular.

Is Vana'bout actually worth doing? It's annoying once you reach 300 plaudits, you only get to pick on of the prizes, not all of them at that tier. 100 deeds will be worth it at 900 but that's about it. Job points, no. 13,000 exempler pts? that's only 3 lvls when lower down. Not worth doing after 900 plaudits, I think. As people mentioned earlier, give us mog bonanza-ish rewards as an incentive.

I do hope they change it from ambuscade to Odyssey or Sortie & don't keep it as it is.
