If SE wanted to, they could completely change how do get XP. They could put us in an instance of Cirdas Caverns with Nyzule objectives and have that become the predominate method for earning master levels.
The current meta of "just standing there" is a symptom of play-styles that don't favor or include certain jobs. It's almost as if a multi-boxer with 3-4 characters has a better chance of making progress than someone who is shouting on the most popular job. That's SE's fault. Not the players.
A very small suggestion: Job-specific bonus for Odyssey Segment farm. Every 24 hours, a new random job is chosen, and if you party with that job, you get +20% Odyssey segments, Sortie gallimaugry, Nyzule Tokens, Bayld, etc etc. etc. This will cause party compositions to change potentially and create a more active and dynamic group setting.

Yeah the same handful of actions over and over and over. It wasn't really rocket science, more like busy work. So not sure why you are using that as some kind of test of skill lol. Also there were plenty of leech parties back in the day. There was SMN burns in Korrokola, hell some bards just sang songs and sat there and didn't pull lol.
I lived and breathed this game during 75 era, you are wrong. They were all repeating the same actions over and over, even mages. Especially once people started bringing outside PLs to exp. You aren't going to convince me there was some badge of honor exping back in the day, it was trivial.
No pride, its just how I choose to play. I have lead an LS thru every era of this games life and now I consider myself retired and don't lead or really play as much due to RL. I have first hand experience with literally everything in this game and know it like the back of my hand.
