I had my 2006 one fail recently. I replaced it with a new 360s unit.
I know I can't complain about it because it actually served me from 2008 until december 2010 (I bought it used wow I know I'm lucky).

well using a song from the HDD didn't solve anything. I don't get a bad disc or unreadable disc. I just get knocked off and get different pol error codes. This morning I logged in and no trouble, this afternoon trouble again. I am reinstalling the software again with a fresh instal to see what happens, wish me luck.

Naaa Xbox freezing is just a problem with FFXI, and only happens when clicking a maw. flux npc or warping from abyssea.

I have a 2010 model Xbox, brand new & has done this since i got it. Hope they fix it soon though.
