Regarding the anniversary project, and in particular the crossover between FINAL FANTASY XI Online, Dragon Quest X, and FINAL FANTASY X|V: A Realm Reborn, I wonder if it will ever become anything to be mentioned anything about over at this side. Probably for Japan only as well...

I have also noticed the lack of mention of that, which likely is related to the fact DQX isn't available outside Japan. But it's still worrisome because two-thirds of the games involved have Western releases. And the internet being the internet, non-Japanese players do know this stuff is coming.

If participation requires playing all three games... then yes, it is going to be JP-only, and that is a great shame. I do so love DQ slimes...

A couple of years later, I have some money I might spend on something silly, and order the CD from Play-Asia (fully aware of that it will very likely not come with the code for the statue).

Sure enough, an expensive coaster I get. Okay, perhaps it actually works, but still, expensive! ^^;

Perhaps there's still hope for the statue to become available in some other means.

Bummer news. I'm amazed they bother putting a time limit on redeeming digital codes that come from purchased products for a mmoRPG, but I am unfortunately not surprised whatsoever in this case. Lol :/

It is somewhat funny to think of the codes being limited in stock, yet the physical discs are still going strong. ^^

And don't get me started on the Tidal Talisman (which is from before I started playing). I'm a giant sucker for cosplay jewelry so missing that one HURTS!

The problem is not that the codes expire (I don't think they do), but that they do not ship at all with the CD any longer... for whatever reason. :\

Maybe they ran out of paper to print them on!

As far as I am aware, you would have needed to get the physical copy (the codes tend to come in a piece of paper, within the case).


Now they have that blu-ray disc with goodies like the Tidal Talisman (or so I see some mention in posts here; looking at the official site, I think there are 20 items to choose from, but I'm not sure that is referring to special items like that, or the more common items, too, that are obtained with the less rare-like pells). I think I will refrain from supporting the way they do these things any more than I have already, heh.

It's not easy though. I don't even have a bly-ray device of any kind, but I want the items. ~sigh~
