I don't think the pop conditions will change, the way I interpret it is that Tiamat's main drop (The Herald's Gaiters) will be added to one of the High Tier battlefields, (Ouryu comes to mind.) and that Tiamat will recieve a Rare/Ex version of these.
We'll know for sure by next Thursday though.
