What is going on with these forums

There's a difference between proposing reasonable adjustments for a job and something inane like creating the troll-based Bacon Mage. Unfortunately, as something I've found out over the years trying to get SE to pay attention to RDM's melee side, differing opinions can attract the worst of behaviors to either try to put you down or insist their side is right (and then try to slide in a jab against your character).

i dont think it's ideas bringing the worst out in people, it lies more in your first point, where everyone has an idea, but they cant tell the difference between something reasonable and something completely asinine like 'please remove relics.' just because one has an idea, does not make it a good idea, i'm glad the US works like this, because ive met some people with really awful ideas for laws.

No kidding. I get so irritated at people who think that something that they don't like personally should be changed. I'm a christian myself, but I am especially irritated at those who give christianity a bad name. "This is blasphemous and I (we) don't like it! Change it immediately." If it's something you don't like, then ignore it and move on.
