While I can see the inconvenience of having a quest you cannot complete from a completionist's perspective, having an open quest such as Eco-Warrior in the quest list adds no negative effects to game play.

Instead of adding a feature that would allow players to cancel Eco-Warrior quests, the development team would like to focus on adding in new content for players to enjoy as top priority.
