Do you think FF14 re-release will have any affect on FF11?

Ok, so I was right, its the same price, just not for special people who had 14 and paid for it for a few months, but the base and standard price is the same, which is what I meant. Just wanted to make sure I was not misinforming.

This game is always dying, getting closer to death, its not dead yet, but its getting closer every day, its only a matter of time. If you deny more people are leaving the game every month, the fact that FFXIV will pull many more away, and the fact that very few are coming to join it, then your lying to yourself.

nice so none should play FFXIV because its already dying too yes? you know exactly what i wanted to say.....
and yes a lot people quited already i dont know how many people will follow but i dont care about anyone who quits for which reason i'm playing Campaign which "died" years ago and still have fun !

Did I say the game would be dead tomorrow or you could not have fun? No, I simply meant that if you think the game is not dying, your only lying to yourself. The game constantly loses more people and very rarely gains, or regains any people who stay past the first month from what I have seen. Since that's the cast, population is going down, thus money made is going down, and the less money SE makes the less they are going to put into it I'm sure, so content production will slow, more people will get bored more quickly, those people might leave, cycle continues. As I said, your only lying to yourself if you think the game isn't dying, its not going to die tomorrow, but it is dying a little more each day. People saying 'I wish I had a penny for every time I heard the world would end on 2012' makes it sound like for one, you hear it far to often, and two, sounds like you do not agree, which is why I said it, because if you do not think its dying, you should put a little more thought into it.

Also...
You might not care about those who quit, but their quitting the game does change & effect it as I said above, which effects you, so you should probably care a little more about it.

Demon, He is from Leviathan, and my friend keeps transferring between there and Valefor, so I have a bit of second-hand knowledge...

It's a very healthy server so I've heard. While *I* agree with you, his personal experience make look quite different.

It really is like parallel dimensions, ya know? On my world, the cities have far more players in them than the outside zones, there seems to be more people afk than playing. On yours, It might be similar. But Leviathan...is bustling with people?

I've heard about 30-person lines at behe on other servers. I've seen the zone that packed once, and I decided not to go. Most times, there's no more than 10 people in the line.

I would not say Phoenix is all to dead itself, but at the same time, I have noticed a decrease in population to a point. I understand if some people are on servers which have a lot more life to them, it would be harder to notice or believe. But the end result is the same, we are on different servers, but we are on the same game, so every other server will impact him too. I just wanted to make the point that the game is dying, its just a matter of time.

@Demon i got your point and i even agree to the most stuff you ar writing here i guess SE lost a lot ppl because of the last update and some will follow soon because of ARR thats for sure but we dont know how many people will come back & stuff

i'm maybe wrong but i guess if there isn another Server Merge the loss wasn really "BIG Sized" and even if we get another Server Merge it will be fine for a while i believe this because Matsui doing a great job atm and he isn done there ar still lots of Ideas and much work to do we just need to give him time....

a point of my view i played FFXI if you were siting the whole day in Jeuno and had to wait for a PT invite for Bibiki Bay or sky we rarely saw a Update/Patch/Fix unless it was a New Add On this sounds very boring i know but people still managed to get 75 and obtain gear
i cant even count how many 18/18 Events i joined for Hakutaku and wiped and all the other stuff camping the whole day in Sea Serpent Grotto just to get a Joytoy for LS Members with 20+ people

we just had to manage our wait and needed to wait but what happend Today?
the most people can only do 1 thing today

I dont think the release of FFXIV will effect FFXI that much.
eventually all games come to an end, honestly I think(this is my own opinion now) the reason FFXI is on a decline is more because of elitist morons or noobs who never learn to play the jobs, cause its not like there isn't pleanty to do.
ofcourse the fact that the devs keep making good gear obsolete isn't helping either.

those of you who think 14 will kill 11 really need to think this through. 11 plays on more PCs than 14 does for the moment so no that wont happen.

Right now the only saving grace for 14 is the PS3 because the game isn't ready, its being rushed out the door yet again. we were promised that the game would run better on lesser systems than 1.0 did, but I assure you that isn't the case.
If you're video chipset(card) is more than 4 years old and wasnt a gamer chip back then chances are 14 will cause your system to choke even on its lowest settings.

so yeah eventually 11 will die IF the interest in it wanes enough. but who knows when that will be?
some of those who say it will be another 10 years before that happens could be right for all we know.
