if you knew how to actually read he also states that he confided in the people he played online with about the death not that he ignored the death to hang out online, and in all honesty ur implying a "dude" schedualed kids birth around dyna, the wife could have said no... not entirely him you know.

This is my first post in any forum. My prayers go out to everyone in Japan during this difficult time. I know I am a little late but, I felt I had to say something. I have lived in Japan and am a better person for having done so. Japan is one of the most beautiful places in the world, the people make it even more so. Words can not express the sorrow I fell for the lose lives and history that has taken places. FFXI is a wonderfully addictive game but, it is just that, just a game. We, I at least, can wait until you have everything in order with your lives before we start thinking about the game. God be with you all in your time of need.
"Say what you feel, because the people who matter don't mind and the people who mind don't matter" (Dr. Seuss 1904-1991)
Ok guess I'll toss my 2 cents in here.
Yea disaster in Japan sucks, I wish them all the best and a speedy recovery.
But I'm a FFXI ADDICT, seriously addicted, I've lost a girlfriend and a job over this game. I've skipped social events becouse Tiamat popped! I've done 8 hour long stretches of level grinding just becouse I thought, oh yea, having a 75 COR might be usefull someday (This obviously goes back awhile ^^) More recently, I would spend 5 hours farming up pops for Briareus, just so the next day after work I could spend another 5 hours to farm pops for it.
If there was a surgen generals warning saying this game has been shown to cause cancer, I would still play it. If this game could be boiled down and shot into my veins I'd be sharing needles to do so. If this game was illegal in all 50 states, I'd move to Canada. If there was a 12 step program for FFXI, I need it. Wheres my FFXI patch?
Some people smoke, some people drink, some people do far worse things. I think we all have addictions to one thing or another.
Anyway, let the flames begin... I just want my drug back.
I would like to take a moment to direct the player base to the statement that PlayOnline will not be billing us for April due to the servers being down for this time and want to direct people to Paypal's website if you have an account.
Paypal is acting as a medium for several charitable organizations aiding Japan in this time of trouble. I felt it only right to take my payment that I won't be charged this month and put it toward one of them. If you have more, that is always great to, but I think it would be a rather wonderful thought if FFXI's players could send their April payments to one of those charities. It may seem small, but between all of us, it adds up quickly.
Thank you all. God Bless.
How r u guys!
I personally take very heavily on this disaster. I myself are not under the direct damage. However, donations donated to imagine the feelings of people in affected areas. As a Japanese, as a fan of FF11 and hope to resume service as soon as possible.
