Abyssea Dominion Retake

Please add in the feature that, when a player completes a Field of Valor, Grounds of Valor, or Dominion Ops page, instead of having to return to the tome/manual/NPC, the player is given the following dialog:

"You have completed this page. Would you like to repeat the same page? Yes/No"

The only problem with these three systems is that they limit camp possibilities; players tend to stick to killing whatever is closest to the book/NPC because no one wants to walk 10 mins to camp, kill 5-6 mobs, walk 10 mins back to the book/NPC, then get anotehr page and walk 10 mins back to camp and repeat. This is especially bad in areas like Crawler's Nest or Garlaige Citadel where everyone just crowds the entrance and 80% of the pages are unutilized. The same goes for Abyssea; so many Dom Ops pages are virtually never done because they're simply way too far from an NPC compared to others.

Please add in the ability to allow players to automatically repeat a page when it is completed. This would open up so many more camp site options and give people way more targets to kill because it would allow them to go deeper into an area, away from the crowd, and repeat their pages there.

Brought this up with the head honchos on the dev. team in charge of this. System wise there are a lot of elements that would have to be considered in order to display a window and manually select to repeat a page, so keep in mind that this would be difficult to implement right away.

For Fields/Grounds of Valor it's most likely possible to have a method where you could automatically repeat a selected page. How does this sound? Please understand that this is something we're considering and not a guarantee at this time.

Dominion OPs on the other hand are a completely different system and we wouldn’t be able to do the exact same thing. Unlike the above, implementing this would be pretty difficult.

I'm not sure what you mean by the GM stuff, but Bayohne isn't a GM, he's a Community Representative, basically a bilingual messenger for the Developmental Team, which would be the ones who'd implement these changes, look at it this way; by Bayohne, Camate, Okipuit, and formerly Rukkirii and Hvinire saying no it's basically the Devs saying no, Bayohne's comment on Dom Ops reputition was basically him saying no without saying no. Abyssea isn't the hot content anymore, it's a source of decent gear and fast XP, it is a means to an end. Put simply: It's not gonna happen.

Please, one of you reps just explicitly say yes or no so this will end. Another, more useful thread could be in the spot this one is hogging in the Hot Topics bar.

No, you didn't come up with it, you merely thought it up and didn't use the search to see if it had already been addressed, and my valid information wasn't flaming, it was...information. There is a like button, your idea, as useful as it may be, has been dismissed, there have been reasons given as to "why not", yet like a child you keep petitioning for something that won't happen, the devs are on FFXIV Seekers of Adoulin now, I seriously doubt they will backpedal to Abyssea for one unnecessary patch that will take more time and effort than it's worth.

Petitioning for this as stubbornly as you are is about the same as a human flapping their arms to try and fly; it's not gonna happen, you don't have feathers, and your bones are too heavy. You are not a bird.

It's been explained that Dom Ops are quests and can't be set to auto-repeat several times so here, I'll just write up an alternate idea - note, this isn't something I want or need, this is just an example.

"Dear SE, it would be really awesome if I could get some of the bonus rewards from Dom Ops for the farther off mobs, but having to return after every set kills that idea. I do understand that Ops are coded as quests, and are related to the Dominion for the region, so they can't simply be set to auto-repeat. So I propose an alternate system in addition to Dom Ops. An NPC will give us repeatable pages, with similar mobs as the Dom Ops, but coded like FoV or GoV. I do understand that this will take some traffic away from the Dom Ops, so I propose that if players use this system, they willingly forgo getting Dominion Notes as rewards. This system would award extra EXP only. Would this be a viable alternative to help people gain exp in more locations? Thanks."

There - problem pointed out, limitations acknowledged, solution proposed, complete with a compromise.
