I had the same problem a week ago, I assume it is a mini-ban of sorts or something like that, because now its gone and I can like posts again, want proof posts can still be liked by everyone else, look at the date/time of any new post in a thread with likes, it was after yours, and yet has likes, which means someone has to be able to like things.

Only way RMT goes away is when SE makes a deal with google, yahoo and any other top search engine and tells them no more RMT on search engines but then again i don't c it happening due to the fact they lose out on the fair share of the money.
