    Advice for Reives?

So, I was trying to do reives for bayld and just to get through a zone, when I ran across one that just decimated everyone. It was a bunch of Twitherym in the southern portion of the Ceizak Battlegrounds. It seemed like this reive wouldn't exactly be possible without serious strategy for it, mostly due to their massive AoE "Fuck you" attack that paralyzes and silences everyone around, rendering healing utterly impossible.

There has got to be a better option besides "Wait for the JP players to do it right" or "Only travel Adoulin with an alliance of players you work well with."

He once sold his soul to Promathia for a rare drop. He later won it back in a drinking contest, before beating up the twilight god for good measure.
He's won dance-off trophies from the Republic of Bastok, the Duchy of Jeuno, and the Yagudo Theomilitary.
He's won entire arguments with a single leer.

There is a guide here, look down a few post below. Remember, most of your team mates do not know how to play as a group - they don't listen, they whack whatever they want, they don't play defensively, just frustrating gathering a group, telling them to gather mob and stick a couple melee and WHM on the mobs while a few others should whack the roots. Or let PLD gather all mobs. Most players also do not want to come as WHM - even when you rack up so many bayld from curing people lol. THF can solo 3-4 of these mobs very easily if you play DEFENSIVELY - thats the key word there. Auto attack zerg mentality will get you wiped.

You want to do 2 things, have a few people damage the roots. Make the rest chain the mobs so you get the momentum up and up and up and up. The bonus stack so you attack more, more hp, more mp, more bayld. DO NOT KILL the root is 5 mnts. Stretch the bayld farm and momentum chain. You can get 4-6k bayld from one event if people actually play as a group.

The problem is most NA players just zerg, they don't eat defense food, they don't play as a group. And they just do whatever they want, bringing jobs that they don't really know how to play in a group setting and getting wiped. And then they drop like flies from the alliance because it sucks lol.

With a group that know how to gather mobs, sleepga them or have PLD control the mob, its great fun event - albeit boring. But with random "I do what I want when I want stop telling me what to do" - it's suck beyond belief.

I stumbled onto the purple butterfly of death as thief/dancer and was able to solo for 30 mnts with 3-4 on me all the time. I shouted for so long and no one came until like 20 mnts later in Yahze. Everyone and their mothers are in Ceizak - god knows there are so many areas to do.

Yes they keep para - silence me all the time. But as your momentum goes up and up, these are so easy to kill. Remember, get that momentum up and adding stacking so many bonuses. The butterfly so weak to dagger and they die easily. Evisceration will drop them to 1/3-1/2 hp. My gears were decent, nothing special, your usual abyssea plus 2 and voidwatch gears.

Also do not come with your underskilled jobs, with rag tag gears and expect you will win Reive easily. This events designed to decimate the abyssea "yeah baby gonna whack you - die by atma bonus" mentality. If you expect to whack with no idea what to do and play offensive, you will die, and wipe and just hate Reive lol.

A couple of things. Get the Unity Reive Key Item by doing the "Scaredy-Cats" quest.

-Make sure you have Ionis on.

-Make an ls event out of it, if you can. Or find a group that's doing one and join.

Oddly enough I ran into this one while trying to get over to the Sih Gates entrance for the quest.
