Not a Problem Now if they had created consoles today like they did when they first came out with expandable RAM ports this would never have become an issue. But they didn't and PS3/Xbox will eventually reach there limitations and by then a new console will be out to replace it, guess its just the way for developers to keep cycle going.
The problem isn't the HDD size. FFXI just allocated an 8GB partition on the PS2 HDD, and it's that 8GB partition that's running out of room. The PS2 version of the game is smaller than the PC version already.
I will have my revenge!
Yes the FFXI offical HDD is 40gigs and your right its not even close to being filled but for some reason ppl keep confusing memory limitations to mean the HDD whitch it does not it means the RAM there is only so much of it and can only buffer so much so not much we can do.
Detoxy, for the record I don't own a PS2, let alone play FFXI on it. But there are plenty who do. I want the game to progress as well, with respect to those who have purchased the PS2 version (a view you obviously do not share). That was kind of the whole idea.
I think its pretty funny trying to preserve the PS2 anyway. This game is old and most pc/laptops can run it.. even old ones. How much is the pc game now?? $9.99 lol
Hmm? Met a 65 Blm that didn't know where or what Garlaige Citiadel or Crawlers Nest were.
Houston we have a problem.
i play on ps2 and pc and the problem is files just got added not overwriten during updates.
I think players are broken
