Cruor for Key Item's (Abyssea)

I know Abyssea pretty much over with for update's but me and the Linkshell was otw to Tahrongi Canyon to slave threw more pop set's for zone bosses. And I thought to myself "Man wouldn't it be great if we could just use our Cruor to buy KI's."

Seeing that atm there isn't any great use for the stuff. Thought it was a decent enough idea.

this is not a bad idea at all. it not much stuff to buy with cruor other then just brew but that really it.

i'm curious where you'd price them, too high and it's pointless, too low and it's game breaking. but there's gotta be a sweet spot where we'd say something like a carabosse pop "isn't worth the cruor" but maybe a glavoid would be?


but also, any pop you'd wanna buy nowadays, you'd wanna buy because you're farming for an emp. so that's gonna drive the effective price way up. only being able to buy one glavoid on the way to your ukon feels kinda pointless yah know?

This would be so... amazing. However, we all already know the answer. They made crour worthless for a reason. It's not going to suddenly get a new use... for about 2 years. Then, and only when the gear is obsolete, will this even be considered, because there will be an Abyssea 2.0 with AF3+3(augmented by killing +2 dropping nms repeatedly).

My thought's were kind of on this as well. The amount would have to be right or no one would bother to farm. We'd just all use cruor all day. My guess would be between 50 to 100k.

This is kind of a lazy move if you ask me and a bad idea. It means you don't even have to play the game anymore if you can get people to buy you pop sets. You can get people to buy you pop sets now but they have to work for them.

Have you been playing ffxi the last... 5 years give or take? People buy everything they can, someone is always willing to sell it. (usually way overvalued.) Words like work, and effort, don't go with abyssea, at all. It would actually be harder (aka take longer, nothing is hard in abyssea) to earn crour to buy a pop set, than it is to jump on nin/dnc and go solo it.

It's a great idea.

Thats only true if you farm cruor in Aby like a fool. Go do VW for it and you can get something good with your logs.
