Actually still wrong the code working with the network or ps2 for instance is not the problem lol its the time it would take you should really pick up an game informer :P And they also said they are not sure they want to invest the time in FFXI since they are working on FFXIV. Which may i add i play FFXIV still needs alot of work XD.

Sigh, still misunderstanding. I have no desire to explain it as it's pointless to do so at this point. Can't just laugh at the ps2 limitations joke? Game Informer? Already have this months. Can't say I'm particularly thrilled with Game (Mis)Informer through the past year though.

I wish cup i read an interview with them in a game informer saying there is no way there will be a ps3 port because the producer or w/e said they would have to re do the whole code and graphics etc . . . . so it would take 1-2 years to get it out on ps3 . . . . . which is stuiped D:<

I do not know how to code but I cannot see being as difficult as everyone that is not an SE employee is making it out to be. Go on the Playstation Network and look, FF7, FF8, FF9, full PS1, full PS2 games are there. At least give is the PS2 version on PSN. Xbox 360 can do full 360 titles, why would SE try to advance their game by releasing it for PS3, even if it is only the PS2 port. That would probably solve a good bit of the problems. Also the only way I remember to get an HDD for PS2 anyway is to buy FFXI for PS2 if I am correct. Another solution is for a hard drive upgrade. That I do know about and that is not very hard to do at all.

Maybe it was my comfort level of being on the PS2 version so long, but the keyboard controls suuucked. I even went to configure different keys to different controls, and was getting better at it, but it was still a pain.

Of course i am, because if you did, you would have no trouble with it. It isn't hard to get used to.

who in there right mind would play this game with a controller. Why are we comparing the ease of the game with its controls when they are exactly the same. When i play on my PS2, i use a logitech mini keyboard that actually came as a giant controller with a mini keyboard in the center of it, in which, idk where the big controller went, i just have the mini keyboard. Point is, if ur playing with controller to begin with, then u fail, plug a keyboard to ur PS2 or XBOX and throw that stupid controller away, its useless and nothing is faster than keyboard macros ALT+Number or CNTRL+number, BAM ALT-E equip screen open, BAM ALT-i inventory open, ALT-J right to my job abilities, u get the picture here, everything can be done instantaneously on the keyboard, and not 1-2 menus away.

And if you dont play with compact settings then you just really really fail, the most comfortable position is the WASD movement, standard to all people who are familiar with FPS games, and most games that utilize movement for PC games

Deciding what is most comfortable for you is what is most comfortable for everyone isn't very bright. If I fail in your mind for playing with controller, more power to you I guess. Won't make me drone off to a compact keyboard just cuz u say so.

I play on both PS2 and PC and own PS3 you couldn't give me a xbox I will never own that crap of a consol again went threw 3 of them in under 2 years never again. FFXI runs really crappy on xbox too. There are still alot of people that play just on PS2

they should just make another boxed expansion for ps2 and include another HDD in the box thats way bigger than the HDD thats being used by ps2 today. easy fix it gets a new expansion out there and even more money for square-enix

oh i forgot to add the expansion should have all previous expansions in it as well since it will have to be a full reinstall and some people might have lost their disks over the last few years
