What MAB?

No ele staff ever had +MAB on them. They just had affinity+1/2 which where direct 10/15% damage bonus's.

Meant to say elemental, but I was thinking of the potentcy too much at the time. Chatoyant dose less then aquilo because it's laking this stat.

No he was saying the HQ staff does more than the NQ new staff which makes sense. Since well... The HQ adds more %.

No, my responce was to the guy saying that chatoyant did les dmg then his aquillo. I was stating that chatoyant was missing the relevant stat that aquillo has. Hence teh dmg difference.

I'm kind of regretting it. I have been testing it in Aby Vunkerl on Jasconius, and it's definitely doing less damage than my HQ ice. Seems to cap at 4000 damage, I got 5/8 at 4000, a few under 4k, and one 4227. Overwhelmingly evenly at 4000 exactly though.

actually he doesnt even mention what staff he is comparing it to but if you read later he says he will try when the prices drop so i assume he means the chatoyant when it drops?

Tsukino_Kaji is right, I'm comparing the new HQ Chatoyant staff to my old Aquilos staff. The Aquilos seems to have performed better, but I need to test more to be sure.

Since you lose your HQ staves making the Chatoyant, and since prices are crazy for them right now, I will be waiting to perform said testing
