In other words, if your system is capable of running the game/displaying the maximum of 30 frames per second, it will be lowered to 15 FPS while fishing (unless it has been adjusted since I last tried, but I doubt it).

I'll be sad if they reduce the overall fps while fishing. I quite enjoy my hourly reminder of how much time I'm spending trying to get an ebisu when that wyvern thing swoops in over the lagoon. And again. And again. And again. Damn, how many ring charges and light crystals do I have left?
