Read the whole thing not just part of it. It's a future tense there. It's not a buffet, it's a complete idea and thought. This is also a hypothetical instance, and I'm not got to stop playing a second character that I've been playing for years. Even if it was to go on sale, I'm still PURCHASING the game again, which is still an expense cost that I wouldn't normally have to because I already have the game.
