ok bab, i see your point. but what do you suggest they should have done? put everything in a back pack and carry on a hill? sorry for sarcasm, but they done all that was possible i think, they not telling us we started backup, we checked generators and so on doesn´t mean they didn´t. when you know bad weather is coming you don´t runn around and shout "i´m going to close my windows", you just do.

i feel for all the families that have lost loved ones they are going through the worst thing to happen to them since world war 2 i really dont understand why ppl are worring about game i love ff11 but i love my family more and these ppl have lost their familys and homes. i dont think its all to do with electric that se has choosen to shut servers maybe it is because they have lost loved one too. my heart goes out to all those children that have lost their parents and all those parents that have lost their children.
leonorado of phoenix
I really hate to say this again, but id really like SE to tell us their long term stratergy, although they havnt actually said it, it seems they are just waiting for the power grid to return to normality

ok I read to much of this about people whining complaining and crying about FFXI being down. I love this game no doubt, But here is the thing Would you perfer the Servers to be down for 1 short little week or for 3 years? ask yourself if this is even possible ok.
Imagine this ok what if SE didnt turn the servers off? what if the electricity ran out? all source of energy would be gone and it will take a while to get back. now look at it this way
IF and i quote "IF" SE kept the servers running and the Power supply died out. The people in Japan who need the hospitals would probably die and for you Baby's about ffxi being down would have to wait like more than 3-5 months for the power to be back so that the servers can fully operate.
Now which would you perfer. playing for 2 weeks and not be able to play for 3-5 months or let the power go to those who need it most and sit and wait for servers to come back for a week or 2 and get to play for years to come?
sorry my grammer sucks but bare with me here. which would you perfer?
A. Play for 2 weeks. Server Dies because of Power shortage. wait until power is fully available 2-5 months later with the death of many people from this tragedy being the cause of your selfishness
B. Bare with the loss of 2 weeks of FFXI, and play for years to come.
Have your pick people. but ask yourself this or put yourself in that situation in Japan. How would i feel if i was in their shoes?
do note No disrespect to you all but I am tired of you all bitching about servers being down. Mind my language. Karma will bite you in the ass and you'll know it when it does trust me.
Cem started a "petition" of sorts to try to get some info from SE. Everyone needs to hop over there and /sign it. Maybe it will work.
