Spike lag? buy more server, build better infrastructure. There's quite a few benefit of more items on ah, healthier economy being one.
Of course realistically I doubt anything will change no matter how much they 'look'.

Necro bumping a little and asking a question as well.
What is it that is causing the lag? Are we being hosted on servers from 2002? Is there a reason why the servers can't be upgraded to 2012 standards if that's the case? FFXI is profitable, so perhaps its time to think about an upgrade so we can get rid of the auction house limitations (which from what I've heard others say, do not seem to effect other similar online games with auction houses).
I doubt many people would mind a few days of downtime during the week, to upgrade servers.... So, can you clarify Camate? It's not like every user signed in XI is camping the auction house and doing nothing but listing items, which then I could understand some increased lag by adding listings - so it seems a tad dramatic unless there are other underlying issues that would make adding a substantial number (/sigh not just 1 or 2 please - think like 15-20) of additional items we can list.
Or is the real answer that you want us to have as many mules as possible so limit us to 7 items to force us to buy mules? I can handle that as the answer as well to be honest - but just call it like it is rather than using the lag-card?
Thanks again for your time and consideration in replying on the thread - I'd just like to know ~ If you're able to be that candid, I mean.
