They're probably nerfing Blood Rage in an attempt to reduce the overall dominance of WAR as best DD to cluster in a zerg. Even without Ukko being the hands down best WS in the game, a cluster of WARs with good timing on Blood Rage can still bring more overall damage to the table than any other job can muster, which still ends up making WAR WAR WAR WAR the top DD configuration in the game.
This doesn't make a lot of sense really, I've been in a lot of VW fights (nothing else needs to be zerged in FFXI currently) and never had more than 2 Ukon wars in them (and there have been people with ukon that were on other jobs in the alliances too). The idea of VW is to bring as many proc jobs as you can not zerg it with 10 wars and get no drops (get none anyway but still). Also, as shown with the limit break fight this is not always the case. Taking war over a mnk to that fight was far away from the best idea...hence mnkx4/smn/whm being the best combo. Guess they need to nerf mnk now cause it was one of the best jobs at that one event?

They nerfed it due to the atmacites and cor rolls that allows any job to WS every 2-3 hits, war just had the most powerful WS. They should of nerfed the atmacite instead.
