    Lv99 Final Trial Staff idea

    At level 99, they should make it possible to merge two elemental weapons of the same name, but different stats, into a single weapon. This sounds realistic enough to apply for all elemental weapon trials but not physical.
    I have been secretly hoping that this is the way the magian trials will end at Lvl99.

    Lv95 - [Surya's Staff +3]
    "Cure Potency" + 23

    Plus +

    Lv95 - [Surya's Staff +3]
    Light Affinity: Magic Accuracy +7
    Light Affinity: Recast Time -15%
    Light Affinity: Recast Time -15%
    (no magic attack)

    Equals =

    Lv99 - [Carbuncle's Staff]
    Cure Potency + 23
    Light Affinity: Magic Accuracy +7
    Light Affinity: Recast Time -15%

    I really hope that Cure Potency will go up to 25%. Other than that, I have always wondered if they'll have a staff that merges all the trials staves together in a trial that requires each staff be traded in at their highest value.

    Merging staff trials would be cool, although I'd want to merge all the blm and smn staves of various elements more then different forms of the same staff. I kinda always figured that the cure potency would just go to 25% though.

    I know that everyone keeps hoping for an ULTIMATE staff but that just sounds silly.
    If they did that then the same would have to be done for other trial weapons. It sounds too broken and boring.

    Far from broken, considering that melee dont need to constantly change weapons to effectively do their jobs, then why should mages. To add on it why give sch blm the ability to gain tp from a spell if we are just going to swap weapon every spell. This has been a complaint form most mages since the ele staves and when the overall amount of gear now needed to play msot mage jobs this would also help with inventory issues.

    That idea goes broken the moment every melee weapon trial also gets the all-in-one staff style treatment.

    Having 9 STR/DEX and 20 ACC/ATK on 1 weapon would indeed be overly powerful, but how would 5 ice/thunder affinity on a single weapon be overpowered? Last I checked there are no spells that have dual elements (even skillchain damage picks a single element.)
