Maybe SE will be evil and have us farm Meteor from King Behemoth... or if they love us, have a quest that involves learning the spell from a baby Behemoth or something.

Forget about Meteor, I just want to learn the secrets behind Parike-Poranke's magic. He could teach White Mages how to remove even the most stubborn of status ailments with one simple spell.

Well, I think only the biggest baddest Behemoths master Meteor. King Behemoth, Kaiser Behemoth, KSNM Behemoth.

The weak/petty ones don't seem to know it. So it'd have to be a badass Behemor.

Still, Meteor is going to be pretty boss, This won't just drop from some beastmen. My guess? Level 99 Voidwatch is going to include another of those Abyssea-La'theine Behemoth NM models, and He'll randomly drop Meteor.

SE already said they don't want White Mages to be able to remove everything, but we should have known that already since WHM's 2hour is a glorified Divine Seal+Manafont+Chainspell Curaga IV, with double the enmity.

Maybe I'm deluded to think that a two hour ability should be able to remove something as trivial as song debuffs, or even have a slightly better chance of removing Doom then Cursna cast by a 29 White Mage wearing only a Pebble and a Jester's Cap.

I guess my joke was too esoteric. You know what kind of magic Parike-Poranke casts, right?

I've always wondered this, but how do behemoths have royal positions and cast presumably very complex spells in spite of being giant beasts? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to be classified as "Really, Really, Gosh-Darn Big Behemoths" that use the dreaded technique "Eat a Bro"?

I know a lot of the monsters in this game cast spells, but that seems to be due to elemental affinity, whereas behemoths are just giant purple dogs with horns who happen to know a really powerful spell.

Its probably simple, they have hierarchy because they are beasts, Just like Wolfs have a Leader, an "Alpha Wolf", there are "alpha Behemoths".

Likely, after a Behemoth reaches a certain age/level, It gains the knowledge of Meteor, think of it like the Myth of a Turtle reaching a Thousand years of Age being able to speak human language and read the future.

Its an RPG, This is the best logic i can apply to it. Its magic bro

I like this reasoning. Maybe the quest to learn Meteor would be to buy a behemoth a gift for his 1000th birthday party, and watching him use Meteor for the first time. I hear they like buffalo corpses.

All we need now is a Pink Mage and we'll have the Power Mages.

I was thinking you were being a bit more literal about digestive problems to be honest. Sometimes you go out on a limb, and people know you are on one, but not which one you are on.

Behemoth is so fat that when it sits down to eat a meal, a Meteor comes crashing down from its orbit.
