Just a warning for the inevitable people who will miss this. One of the requirements:

You have purchased and registered all released expansion packs, add-on scenarios, and battle area add-ons;

Not sure why the 3 add ons before Abyssea are required to be purchased. My system probably has all of that stuff updated anyway and just needs to be bought and unlocked... sooo I'm out. I'm not going to buy those add ons just to test stuff. Have fun everyone else, though ;o

Probably a typo/mistranslation in the requirements, but they also state you must have a job above level 90. (It's probably supposed to be "at or above level 90", or else there's no point in opening the test server applications now.)

It's pretty pathetic that they put those crappy story add-ons as a requirement. I would understand if perhaps they decide to expand on that content but if they have no plans of adjusting those story add-ons they shouldn't be required. After the first one I didn't bother with the other two.

As for abyssea I can understand those being required since for one it is decent content and they have been adjusting the content so it makes sense why they would need it. Though I'm quite confused of the other requirements. It just feels like they are using this as a method to make money unless they note that they plan on adding on to those stories to make the content as worthwhile as abyssea.

Unless they do a random check on who's allowed to enter the test server during say... a month period....kind like how they randomly select people for jury duty

Due to ultimate collection (prior to the abyssea one) shouldn't most people have those anyway?

It's only a test server, if you don't have the expansions needed and don't want to get them don't do it. People are excited about it because it's new atm but once the novelty wears off most won't bother with it anyway.
