WAR with +2 (4/5 I saw) and Widowmaker. You think he would know NMs are true sight/sound in Abyssea. He had to have had a little experience with it, right?
Apparently not. Aggro Flame Skimmer, so I dia it and tell him to get the flux. He vokes it off me. I slam my head into my controller. He dies then I die. I tell him to stay down, since he is still missing the flux and we have raise. Get a "thanks anyway" as he homepoints. I tell him to please listen next time.
I am still slamming my controller into my head.
I've had the same thing happen, I might've been in that party.
When I was still new to the game, first unlocked job was PLD. I joined a pt in Qufim around lvl 20, and the leader told the healer not to heal me, "cuz PLD has cure spells and can heal themself." I was a noob, so I tried healing myself while main tanking; I knew it was a terrible idea, I just wanted xp. So, I timed my spells and they were going off, but not enough to keep me alive. Leader yelled at me for dying, but kept yelling at the whm to not heal me either.
By Kingfury. Fear the WHM.
The one moment I have never forgotten was years ago when I was in this alliance for either paper, tav bell, or coffer key drops. Not sure on the reason anymore. Most of us were under leveled with a few 75 babysitters so it was probably paper. But there was this one PLD who I'm pretty sure was just a kid at the time and still plays to this day. He said something that will go down in my personal history as possibly the #1 Cpt. Obvious comment of all time: "Heal me or I will die" ............................
The kid didn't like riding yellow HP whatsoever. I want to remember people let him die a few times after to shut him up, kind of like proving a point that he hadn't died yet to the point of his comment or whatever but I can't be sure on that. It's been like 6 years since. But that comment will stick with me forever. The day I'm on my death bed I will make it a point to tell the doctor to heal me or I will die, just so I can see his 'no shit' reaction.
Another time that I probably won't ever forget fully but I will only remember it when threads like this pop up, my second day of playing I came across a dead body. I was willing to help so I said wait there I'll go get a reraise scroll. "That sounds like it'll do the trick. Not real sure what the re- means but I know what the raise does." I'm sure the rest of that story will be easy to piece together. I did a RL facepalm telling myself, "NOW I know what RE-raise is..."

I've explained countless times to people well over level 75 what a magic burst is.
One time at a colibri party back over in ToAU. Level synced DRG asked how to proc healing breath. Party leader /telled me to Trick Attack him to death. I did.
Level 70 Monk asked how to unlock subjobs.
I asked a level 80 to meet me in the Temple of Uggalepih, "I don't have any outpost warps." I asked them if they've ever changed nations. "Nope."
Level 90 BLM complains why retrace was not working. Had never been to the past.
You've seen the pictures of that "Apocalypse Nigh? You mean Shinryu fight?" I can't find the link, I'd post it if I could.
"Rajas Ring? What Abyssea NM does that drop from?" I wanted to strangle someone.
I tell someone that Gurfurlur absorbs magic damage. 5 seconds later she's casting Freeze II.
Outdamaging level 90's as a 75 because they have no capped skills.
Just a level 75 COR still trying to cap his skills before venturing into level 76. All that's left is parrying.
SE please give me a Parry Roll or Parry Bonus Job Trait.
SE Thank you for the COR update that changes Gallant's Roll. You have indirectly answered my prayers for assistance in Parrying Skillups!! THANK YOU SE.-_-
This one drives me up the wall. At first I thought it was a joke. Anyone who thinks Rajas Ring is an actual Rajas drop needs to die.
Also, I think the first time I realized things were bad was about a year ago when a full pink NIN/WAR was doing 200 damage Blade: Jinn on fodder mobs in abyssea.
