1)Consider nearly every synergy recipe as having a sub craft. Sites with recipe lists (such as ours (click here) will list the sub crafts required and the tier of those crafts required. If you see that a synergy recipe requires more than one craft at a very high level, then you will need to have someone who has that skill into your party. You do not need to have any of the sub crafts yourself, if you have friends or can find people that have them..

2)The synergy level has nothing to do with the name of the item or where it comes from. If you want to do synergy augments, a high level is not required, but a higher level will help with your results. All synergy augmenting recipes have a low Synergy skill requirement and no sub crafts.
