Abyssea-Konschtat and Fitsule

Ever since the server merge of Caitsith and Ragnarok, there has been a large monopolization of the NMs' associated with Fistule. For hours on end, Bloodguzzler and Guimauve will be held in a never ending battle to be the first to claim Fistule and there have been many primitive attempts at MPK due to this, not to mention an inability to retrieve upgrade items (Fistule Discharge).

I don't know that additional ??? spawns for Bloodguzzler is a solution as it was with other NMs; since Fistule is soloable, and the Pustules' are used as an attempt to MPK, that would only embolden further monopolization by parties or alliances. I would much rather see Fistule go to a trigger pop or KI pop personally, but any suggestion of an alternative method is better than the current system I'm sure; do any other servers have this issue or is this restricted to Ragnarok-sith.

If they are holding a mob with out doing any damage to it or its clearly holding you can call a GM. The GM will tell them either kill it or let it go.

It's common practice to hold the "bait" mobs for Fistule until it pops, which is between 15 and 20 minutes.

Fistule is a right pain though. Pretty evil of SE to put this mob on the Axe trial when it's a shining example of how the claim system can screw BST over.

The emp axe and bow trials are both now drastically unfair compared to other trials. Other NMs for different emps now have multiple spawn points, allowing numerous NMs to be popped at once. The NMs can also be popped within minutes of defeating them.

Previously, the difficulty imbalance was somewhat offset by the fact that Fistule did not require a player to gather any KIs, but now all Emp item NM KIs can be found in chests as well as from the respective NMs.

However, there remains only one Fistule, and it's still on a 15-20 minute respawn timer, and there is no alternative method of spawning it besides Bloodguzzler & Guimauve.

A simple remedy would be to keep the current spawn conditions, but to add more two more Fistules and Bloodguzzler spawn points. They should be reasonably far away from each other, to discourage a single group monopolising all spawn points.

Alternatively, just make Fistule a forced pop with multiple ???, using KI from Bloodguzzler & Guimauve. Said KI should be added to gold chests in the area too, in this case.

I agree....they need to look at Fistule again, the overcamping is rediculous these days.

I was doing Fistule for the KI to pop EE during a time that is deemed "busy" on our server and to be honest - I can't see what you are complaining about. (For your information we ended up inviting a party that were farming the upgrades since they would have ended up on the floor).

Of course it will be different on each server but comparing Fistule to any of the first stage NM's - you guys have it eassssy. Farming time / lights on leeches while collecting pop items - popping one NM (not even killing) then running over to a grassy hill requires little effort.

The lack of demand for the weapons involved would also be an advantage. I mean sure there are a few people that are going for the axe, but I rarely ever run into a RNG these days.

I would rather do Fistule over Itza, Glavoid or Chloris anyday. Hell, I would even pick him over Briareas... I can tell you that for sure.. So no I don't think it's unfair.

Although I will be honest - I havn't / probably won't be farming his discharges anytime soon but you guys have it really easy.

(However truth be told it doesn't bother me if it does get changed to forced pop. Just adding my 2cents).

We did so, and we were told that you can hold up to 30 minutes if you're doing acceptable damage; who determines what acceptable is, I don't know.

I was doing Fistule for the KI to pop EE during a time that is deemed "busy" on our server and to be honest - I can't see what you are complaining about.

Obviously people have issues with it and your server is an exception; do I expect SE to jump in front of the train head-on immediately like this is the biggest issue, absolutely not, but the fact is the current way is not only a huge time-sink, but on most days complete waste of time. Yesterday was the first day I saw it uncontested since the update, and that lasted for about 35min before someone else came along and started holding pop NMs. 50 Bri Helms, 50 Chloris Buds, 50 Glavoid Shells, 50 Itz Scales, 50 Sonek Skins, etc, have taken 2-3days @4-5hrs a night per item, and our LS has done this without issue. In comparison, 25 Fistule Discharges have taken since the merger to complete. I'd at least like to see SE consider an adjustment so those who do want to do Axe/Bow/Club (and I see plenty on Ragnarok) can do it as easily as the Bri/Itz/Chloris/etc that you'd rather do; yes, easily. (or maybe SE should put us Caitsith people back on Caitsith, but that's another issue)

As I post this, Konschtat has 27 people; 3 groups, 11 people total, are competing for Fistule.

I used too play on caitsith too. So i can understand why the merger's effect on fistule would have you a bit troubled. But form the viewpoint of ppl from larger servers what your experiencing is total normal. Its kinda like an unwritten rule that you don't GM the person holding the leech and they wont GM you if you do the same.

The worst part about fistule when i did it last where the bst's using the 100%pdt setup and taking forever to kill it. i'm a bst and i think that setup was lame I'm happy SE nerfed it.

Also you can use Lentor(nm slug) to clam fistule but it spams spells.

Oh btw what weapon are you making? I made the bow and axe, and i'm thinking about the club too

Not doing any damage to a mob anymore is acceptable now, glade I didn't make that GM call. I like the idea of the mob eatting another mob so you can fight it. Don't like the fact that its a bottle neck mob that shoulda been seen by the devs. Least they could do is add another copy of it on the other side of the zone that only drops the KI/atma if they want it to be a speed bumb for those emp. weapons. even then its realy do they think or even talk to each other when making these NMs.
