No, asking to be treated equally is not ridiculous, and I don't think that politely asking to be treated equally is "making a fuss" - if you don't think this is important, than you don't need to participate in the thread asking for it.

This isn't about being treated equally. "Marraige" in this game is purely a construct of the players who make it. You don't need SE, any ingame mechanisim, or anything to get "married" in the game. Especially since this is only about the gender of the character and not the gender of the players themselves. You can be GLBT and get "married" all you want. No one is stopping you. "weddings," which really no longer exist in the game outside of an NPC that can give you a ring. And you dont even need that because you could just craft your own rings with your own names on them and trade them to eachother.

You DONT NEED SE TO RECOGNIZE THIS. YOU CAN JUST DO IT ANYWAY. THE WEDDING SERVICE WAS REMOVED ALTOGETHER.

This game needs to have more hispanic references. I can think of hundreds of eastern and germanic references right off the the top of my head and a few NA pop culture things as well. But us hispanics are getting the short end of the stick...we got a few cactuar nm's and thats all I can think of. Please take the time to change this highly irrelevant "cultural reference imbalance" SE.

Umm yea.. Like people keep saying look back in old threads. I think someone went over the entire process of getting a ring for both parties regardless of sex. Perhaps if people would spend more than 30 seconds researching something alot less threads like this would get made....

Anyway. It's plenty possible to make up your own wedding with your own rings you made yourself and tell everyone you're married. Why does SE even have to be involved in this? Why do you think most games don't add marriage systems at all? Because they don't want to deal with this issue.

This is a game. And you can choose your gender. And unlike real marriage there are no benefits or consequences that come with this. The Marriage system is modeled after a traditional western style wedding. And was added for kicks. For fun. It's NOT the same thing as real marriage. Not even close.
