i fully agree. i know 2 friends who play mithra because of the stats and the character in general. If they decide to marry a F Hume then they can't.. Obviously this would've been avoided if we had Manthras but still. i see logical use for this kind of freedom

The same sex thing is improving in Japan but I doubt they'll add it in this game, it's just so unlikely, even in FFXIV ^^; (Is there marriage in that!?) Only played one game with same-sex marriage, Chinese one O_O;;

Although I personally think marriage in a game is soooo silly, but that's only my view. You could just role play it hehe

As a queer girl myself I totally support this. But - I also don't expect it to change. My gf doesn't even want to HEAR about the game and I am not about to "marry" some random person in game so even if SE stopped being so silly about the issue it isn't like I would be using it anyway.

That said, whether I use it or not, it is just ridiculous that it wasn't an option in the first place. Then again, I think it is more important for people to fight for this right in real life than in a game.

What's ridiculous is people are making a fuss over this. If it had any effect on the game itself or gave you any special rights or anything, then I might understand. but it doesn't. It's no longer even an "official" thing anymore and you have to make things up yourself.

If you really want to do this, you can. The only thing is you can't get the ring. So just give him or her something of your own creation with your name on it instead.

No, asking to be treated equally is not ridiculous, and I don't think that politely asking to be treated equally is "making a fuss" - if you don't think this is important, than you don't need to participate in the thread asking for it.
