Atmacite being so expensive.

I feel it's kinda lame that atmacite is so expensive because to upgrade them for say a mage and melee it would cost 10 mil(low estimate) or 625 VW battles worth of curor or 5000 VW run if ya making 2k curor profit a run because your using 4-5 cells a run :(

Either way the conclusion to me is simple and only upgrade 1 or 2 atmacite since upgrading more will prolly take longer than actually clearing/getting the drops from VW.

also it costs 65 mil curor to upgrade all atmacite to max which is 140 mil in gil (basically the price of a relic) so yea a tad expensive imo since if ya using cell your making 1-2k curor at best a run.

Basically the point i'm making is being able to upgrade 3 atmacites is dumb considering the amount of time it would take to get that amount curor is better spent getting the drop and not coming back to VW or on something completely different.

Kinda feel the same way. Especially the curor-> gil argument. A lot of people spend so much curor to upgrade things that are only one aspect of the game (VW)- and not even a very good one at that. Yet, if they took the gil into consideration, they could buy a relic, or gear that is equally as useful for use everywhere else in the game. But then again, you have people spending 40mil on Meteor, so I guess they don't care about handling gil.

If you are trying to get empyrean upgrades or armor from VW that 65 million will seem like nothing if you don't buy all your upgrades. You need to spam VW a lot to get 3060 per empyrean upgrade. If you have 2-3 or more empyreans like me its going to take awhile.

Or you could spend that 65 mil on buying heavy metal plate/dross.

Look, they are not gonna adjust this. It's a cheap easy way for them to ensure "grinding and time sink" on the abyssea content and still make it relevant for players to keep doing abyssea cruor party. I have a feeling someone gotten a very harsh lecture for making Abyssea Atma so easily obtainable and bestow player amazing bonuses for so little cruors. I would not be surprised if the whole team got a very stern lecture on how much a failure the abyssea battle system is for letting players having too much fun and imbued with god mode. So now we have to deal with all these lack luster and half baked contents and everything become a monster of a grind. Just look at the last few magian trials for empy weapon and you get the idea, the fact that your reward is 1 more stats adjustment is beyond laughable.

i'm sure in the Dev minds VW is finished and yea i'm happy with that since atmacite don't make or break VW but it's basically the dumbest part of VW.

Either way just think that the only way to obtain curor for these atmacites is by farming curor in abyssea and really the people are better spending there time on doing VW and thoe that do farm curor are only there to npc it.

As for atmacite/atma comparison

Really the temp items are atmas in VW and atmacites are more like the curor buffs.

Another common misspelling is 'crour'. One I see a lot on other games and in real life is 'solider' instead of 'soldier'. People just can't get those tricky double vowels right, it seems...

It does seem kind of ridiculous how expensive these atmacite buffs are, and yet didn't SE say that they didn't intend for people to go to Abyssea to farm cruor to fund their VW activities? That doesn't really add up.

The cruor you get from doing VW is barely enough to cover the cruor you spent for your cells, so you almost break even but barely. After repeat VW you start loosing cruor more than making more. And if you upgrade atmacite then you loose even more in greater numbers. So yeah, they flatly lie to us by saying that. Everything they do is purely on the base of adding artificial grind and barriers so we got strung along for a good year or so before they do their usual minimal adjustment here and there. It has been close to a year now since the introduction of voidwatch, very little has changed and no ticketing system ever going to come this way. By the time they introduce this, everyone who remotely interested already moving on to the new thing or quit from nerd rage.

I thought they contemplated doing VW to earn cruor. You can earn a lot just by doing the fights. EDIT

Incorrect. Assuming you only trade rubicund cells and aren't wasting cruor on cobalt cells too. And even if you do, for some of the higher tier fights you will still walk away with more cruor than the fight cost you in cells.

i mentioned doing VW for curor

and yea u need to do 100 VWs worth cruor to make a 2mil atmacite so if ya think thats a viable option then ok and thats considering your buying the cells of the AH

either way like i said the only viable way to get multiple amtacites is gaining curor in abyssea which is a waste of time because ur better acully doing VW for the drops on the other hand if ya use VW curor for it you'll be done w/ VW before ya done w/ the atmacites which would then be useless cause you have no reason to do VW catch 22

point is who the heck goes to do vw just for the cruor, the drop rate on these items are so small you'd probably only go to get a drop yourself, which means you're using cells, which means you're cruor return is minimal making it an unrealistic way to fund atmacites even though they claimed aby farming would not be necessary to fund vw based activities.

Idk if I'd call getting 7380 cruor from Bishani just now - a low tier fight taking around 5 minutes - a minimal gain? That's after cruor for rubicund cells have been subtracted obviously. If you spam a lot of Qilin for example, wanting heavy metal pouches and maybe a Coruscanti, you earn roughly 10k cruor per fight, and if your group is good, each fight only takes a few minutes. I rarely set foot in Abyssea these days and don't have too much trouble upgrading atmacites - both DD and mage ones.

Honestly you cancruor burn faster doing VW then you can doing cruor Burns in Abyssea.

LS runs. LS constantly rotates mobs. Those who don't need drops off the particular target don't trade cells, and thus rake in the cruor.

Why don't you guys do Besieged and Campaign and use the points to buy cells for VW? Then you save all your cruor, not to mention you don't need to buy every type of cell....

yep nice and fast at 10k a run you only need to 280 runs to upgrade the most expensive atmacite in the gameor 75 runs for the cheapest

So? If you are in such a hurry to upgrade to level 15 immediately, go do cruor burns when you aren't doing voidwatch. Or, do what I do - upgrade a little at a time. How many people do you think are able to upgrade all good atmacites to level 15 as soon as they get them? A little patience goes a long way. Plus not wasting cruor on useless cells. Hell, you can even buy cells for AN/CP/IS and gil, to save the cruor cost.

I think when they created VW + atmacite, they looked at how much fun the atmas + abyssea content is, and decided that kind of failure will never be repeated again. Players should not have fun, enjoyable and accessible content where you can have measured progression and a good drop rate of treasures. So they decided to give us with super weak atmacite and the only way you get it at full power is to upgrade and do VW over and over, or via cruor party. They also lower the drop rate so that it is close to impossible to get it without doing it over 50-200 times, coupled with multiple useless crap in the treasure pool, and the need to have 18 people to complete the event at the higher tier. Anything and everything just to make sure that the failure that is abyssea will never be repeated ever again. And the player base will never know the word fun, enjoyable and accessible - instead they are now conditioned with grind, more grind, and another grind.

Do you have a template called a "Luvbunny Message" that you just cut-and-paste and apply to different threads as you see fit? Because that's how your posts read to me. Every single one either mentions the "grind", "accessibility", "the difference between this content and Abyssea", "how the game is not enjoyable", and how "Abyssea was a failure to them". I keep expecting you to implode one day and cancel sub, but it hasn't happened yet.

You obviously got the cruor for it before, you can get it again for the new ones. I had max disc too, but already traded it off for max assassin within 2 days.
