Let me get this straight, you have a learning disability but, the rest of us, who have learned better are the ones with the problem? Also, gear swapping has been around forever. Just because all you did was exp parties, where most people didn't bother to waste their money on multiple gear sets (cause that would be completely idiotic, even more-so these days) when leveling up (inevitably obsoleting those gear sets and having to buy more gear, just to level up) doesn't mean it didn't exist and was main stream once you hit cap.
Also, lol @ using the ps3 as your primary (only?) means to access the internet.
Efficiency* isn't an assumption. The difference between my ninja before I had adequately geared it and now are obvious, in every aspect. Also, I'm sure all the things you've done in poor gear, I've done better in better gear. This isn't even about the individual pieces of gear or flaunting accomplishments, it's about making a mockery of those who refuse to even attempt to get better, for whatever reason.Quote:

The reason it became so popular at this time was because before Wings, haste gear was pretty lacking to the majority of players. It occured mostly with mages using the elemental staves. Swapping on Light staff+Nobles for Curing spells, Errant gear+Dark staff for /healing, +skill gear and respective staff for enfeebling spells. The only reason most people leveling didn't swap gear because there wasn't a lot to switch between at least until 75 and you've accumulated a few pieces (Hecatomb for example) that was far better to WS in then it was to TP in because of the massive amounts of slow on it.Quote:

After two spells it's a 200-300 damage difference. After 9 spells, you're at 900-1350 damage additional damage. That's ONE free Blizzard V in damage that all you did was swap to the appropriate staff. Now imagine doing that with the rest of your gear.
tl;dr: Gear swapping has been around since launch (At least since US PS2 launch). We all know it did because most of us did it. There are far too many reasons why someone died after a large burst in damage. It could have ranged from sucky tank to sucky healer to, yes, even the sucky DD. -

He's under the impression if you black list people, the game picks up in speed. @@; I'm so lost, I don't even know how to respond to this comment. -

My favorite noob moment that I remember was waaaaaaay back when I had initially started my current char, a whm main taru. I was like lvl 60ish and was going to sandy for some reason which isn't important to the story, but the point is I was in La Theine, at the zoneline to Ronfaure when a lsmate asked me to raise someone that needed it in the same zone and I was the only one with raise...so being the whm I am, it's my duty to raise ppl that need it, so I turned my choco around, went all the way back to the person, who was a little south of the crag, near where the shrooms are and got off my choco and raised her.
As soon as s/he got up s/he immediately /s yelled at me where's my sneak and invis?!?!?!?! then ran off towards the crag.../facepalm -

Just remembered a couple other noob moment favorites of mine....my first maat fight years and years ago was on whm, easiest maat fight ever....except that ppl made me so nervous about remembering every little thing about it and pointing out that regen was the most important spell to use, so in the battle, I buffed up then started the fight, realized I forgot regen so I tried casting it and kept getting interrupted...I tried so hard to cast it that I actually forgot to cure myself till I was in the red lol I did try and get off a cure V while he was doing asuran fists though!
Noob moment number 2 was a pt a long time ago in Ro Maeve, I think we were there to get the nm for black halo for me, and I was on whm. I have no idea where I was mentally, but the fact that everything there is magic aggro completely slipped my mind as I stood near two dolls and like three-ish weapons to cure my pt that was fighting one weapon at a time lol...it didn't end well :/
And noob moment number 3 was only like 3 years ago, I was in saruta, level and job aren't important to the story, what is important though is that I play a taru....I was screwin' around with first person, god only knows why, and I ended up in some tall grass...I got completely lost and had to teleport because I couldn't see over the grass to find my location and I was so embarrassed/laughing at myself that I forgot I have a map of the place, so yea....my height actually got me lost in Saruta lol

I hated whm as a 90 pld i came up with a solution lvling whm as a subjob ill just tank. I subbed war on whm til 22 then nin and i just tanked with a hammer and shield did really good besides my emnity merrits kept getting me hate lolz. its unheard of and freaked out everyone i was in party with to see a combat whm in party with maxed eva, shield, & parry whm is actually pretty good at it with the right gear. close to the end of my lvling i pulled, tanked, DD and healed the party maybe i should of just soloed idk.
anyways several noobs changed to whm and tried to do te same thing and couldnt i didnt tell them i was a pld before and all my combat skills were capped they found out the hard way that its a must -

I had a noob moment just last night. Took a couple friends into dynamis-xarc along with dualboxing my bf's whm. I cant dualbox to save my life so I just brought him in as /sch for aoe snk/invis and buffs. I sent the others off to the JA alley which was actually free for once while I ran around the zone getting the TEs. Just as I engage the eye I notice my drk and thf friend were..well, dying. So I start trying to cure them frantically on the whm,
1. noob moment was forgetting to use sublimation until I'd got aggro on him and was in red hp so fat lot of good that did and just ran out of mp.
2. forgetting to pay attention back on my own character and dying to the eye.
3. was then panicking wanting to get back and help them, reraising right after the eye turns around forgetting they aggro hearing as well.
At least then my bf got home so he logged on himself to save us, though I did have to sit there dead on the ground for 10 mins as team after team after team came by to get the TE, and instead of any of them thinking to toss me a raise most of them /laughed or /stared. Hurt my pride ): -

I joined an AB Altepa party recently, hoping to get some TE's while we killed dolls for exp -- terrible idea. Wasted 40 mins of my time, because I was doing all the killing and because the BLMs couldn't even land sleepga. Oh, and all the melees were hitting for 20~100 per hit at best, with WS's at ~800. Needless to say, my eviscerations did everything, pretty much.

I was in a Uleguerand pt a few weeks ago as blm and there was two blus in there that kept waking all the bluffalos I had sleeping up with wait for it.....SANDSPIN! and Cursed Sphere....and Bomb Toss.....a friend of mine and I called 'em on it and they continued, meanwhile they were lvl 90, and as a blm/rdm I could solo the bluffalo better than they could >_>
Side noob moment in the same pt, we had a dnc/sam that refused to pull because he didn't have shadows...I was able to pull dolls in altepa 3+ at a time just fine as dnc/sam without a ranged weapon lol -

Everyone that wants to solo a mob in an abyssea exp pt on anything but worms.... that can't do enough damage to take hate off the person who slept them.
The worst thing is many of them have either flash, stun, or voke... but obviously forget.
Edit: oh, and full-time hasso SAMs. You'd think there'd be a point at which they think "hang on, I'm taking more damage than I can be cured for, maybe I should hit seigan and third eye"... you'd think that, but you'd be wrong. -

I've seen 35 damage dragon kicks so saying the gimpest of gimps can pull hate may not be entirely accurate (as long as you've done something other than just sleep and even then...). I've pulled hate from autoattacking while weakened + slowed in some parties.
