Hey I was on teamspeak ages ago LIKE AGES AGO with the guys when they wrote that song! They werent even doing the show yet or anything. They played some other game with a guy we knew on ffxi.

I'm sorry if my specialness hurts you in any way. :) Considering the end of my post has everything that seems to "grind" your gears (your post seems almost tailored for mine!), I'd like to offer my sincerest apologies in allowing my specialness to come out when I find posts insulting. I'll be sure to not let it happen again. :) While yes, I do have a life, I take breaks to sit down and relax which that's why I have FFXI to pass the time while my daughter naps or is self-occupied. I don't normally get online to tell people to get a life, I just had happened to get online tonight and read this thread and noticed people complaining about the game being down as if it's hurting them. But again, my apologies Sanjuu-Satsui.
BurnNotice:
I second that... But my friends and I are from the North West United States. We holding our hearts and prayers out here for everyone there and want to say we stand by in hopes everyone is able to get back on their feet.
I just sent $50 dollars to the recovery of Japan. It's not much, but I hope for a speedy recovery of your homeland. It's a country that has given me so much joy. Anime, manga, video games, music. Hate to see that all lost.
haha... normally this would require a lmao from me but given the circumstances...Quote:
Yea and don't forget enough diesel to keep it running for at least 6+ months pending a drawn out grid recovery. Hmm possibly a tank farm next door. Should be well within budget.
Thank you VERY much USA
Im not good at speak English, because im Japanese
but, want to say thank you for USAarmy and USApeople helping our nation
Fighting to earthquake and TSUNAMI and newclearblast will us
thank you
*sigh* this sucks I can only play CoD:BO so much dear god please stop abusing japan with your wrath and let them fix their reactors and what nots because honestly glowing people just isn't cool... glowing animals on the other hand does sound cool but we will save that for another time.. why couldn't you just take out blizzard instead? WoW wouldn't lose too many fans most of em are in school majority of the day they probably wouldn't even know blizzard was taken out til summer anyway :(
Can I donate some gil to the cause? I mean its virtual currency and all but its the thought that counts, right?
I'm originally from S. Cali, and went through many of the quakes including the Northridge one, and to the life of me, I can not twist my mind around what a 9 would be like. I'm now currently residing in the MidWest where my biggest concern is Tornadoes (Though the small quakes in Arkansas (1.4 to 3.5) and Oklahoma (3.2) shows there is no place you can go to get away from earthquakes)...My heart goes out to my fellow FF friends in Japan.
I hope Japan sees only the best of days from here on out. Be safe!
Worrying about you guys over there getting water and food and shelter from bad weather. /sad. If it helps just know there are people all over the world gearing up to help out. Hang in there.
Hehe apologies accepted ^_^b. Although I agree some of the complaining is a bit ridiculous. Just goes to show how much this effects everyone. People just react to things differently. I'm worried about SE-Japan employees. Them not working is adding to families financial damages.Quote:

how would SE had justify charging the fee for the moth of April to the Japanese community
3rd
would it had been fare if only Japanese community was not bill ? (in my opinion i would had been OK with it). while the rest gets bill and has no service?

The most important reason why we don't have the server running.
As electricity is in short supply after its power facilities were damaged by Friday's powerful earthquake.
TEPCO called on companies and residents to save electricity
I guess SE only did what had to be done and about the server being down I don't really care much about it. I will keep on praying constantly for the families of those in Japan. It saddens me to no end but I know Gods able to protect & provide
lmao... bleeds Purple kool-aid. clever! :D
Exactly~ :) .. My prayers go out to all in Japan. Though I do miss FFXI already :D lol, I would much rather have the already limited power saving lives, and keeping the lives that were saved ALIVE!
Japan is in my prayers and thoughts. And have my condolences to all of those who have lost their lives in this tragidy. And would rather have no game when they can save others by conserving electricty. It was a very smart move to suspend FFXI and FFIV. And it was nice of them to give us April free being they are going to loose a lot of money by doing that when they are going to need the money for their economy more now than ever.
On behalf of the human race and citizens of the United States of America, I apologize for the ignorance of this jackass. What he probaly meant to say was "we understand and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please take care of yourself and your families. We will keep you in our prayers."
My prayers go out to all the people of Japan. For all of my Japanese friends on the Ifrit server I hope the best for you and be safe.
Well said Lise
I wish Se woulda taken april and donated it. My heart and prayers go out to everyone in japan. People will learn to live without ffxi and ffxiv. ITS just a damn game. get over it. go to school get a job or go outside.
Hmm... I bet SE could care less about all this pointless complaining, about them shutting the servers down. They have enough to worry about. A lot of the whiners are probably children with internet access. People need to grow up and realize that there is more to this world than FFXI. If I was the owner of SE, I would have shut down the servers a lot earlier. So that some of you may understand, SE didn't shut down the servers to tick you off. They did it because they had to... They could have left it up and running, and when the power grid went out they could have lost player data and would be unable to restore anything. In a way you all should be thankful that they decided to do the safe thing and shut them down. I know I'd be upset if I knew SE could have saved all my hard work by shutting the servers down and didn't. I don't know how many of you out there actually work with computers and servers, but when you get power surges; it could destroy your equipment.
(Best wishes to Japan and its people. God speed and my prayers are with you.)
Could of been a last minute decision in to say, "We're sorry!"
But if they took they April fee and donated it to the cause, I'm sure there would be plenty of heartless players who would say, "That's not fair. I'm not playing FFXI because of the earthquake. I want my money back."
At least by not billing us, we have the option to do something else with our money. Depends on the player if they want to put it towards helping Japan, or buy a shot for Japan.
God reading most of the posts in these threads just makes me wonder about ppl in the usa. Yes they wouldnt shut it down if we had issues here. Get over yourselfs guys. they have to save power for hospitals and houses. Id rather see ppl have the eletricty then them to power servers for a game. Yes it will cut into their profits. but god think about other ppl rather then yourself for once :)
@ jagerforrester Yeah true i never thought about that.
Thanks for the translation bro.
And besides, if SE didn't shut down the server during 9/11, it wouldn't mean that they wouldn't care enough to contribute help, make donations, and waive fees. I have friends who were Hurricane Katrina victims and played this game and they had their subscription fees waived because of that natural disaster.
Go Sleven Go!!
PS- Angrykitten the NHL is 80% US teams, so there will have to be one on both sides (affecting you too) to shut down hockey.
Oh and IF you are thinking of sending aid "money" make sure you don't send it to Fake site and probably shouldn't pick any of the ones posted here without looking into them carefully.
Don't be stupid.
Umbrion.... Isn't that a name of a pokemon? Nuff said.
I could easily make a list of 20+ people who have post in this thread that are total ass-hats.
lol Umbreon is the pokemon. second, you can't tell who's a jerk here cause really unless you know that person outside this then you don't know anything.
You honestly believe people act more like themselves in real life than they would over the internet? People will say truely what they feel online WAY more often than in real life face to face with someone.
When I ask you that question.... it excludes the crazy people who like pretend to be little girls and shit.
my best wishes to all japanese people as well as my prayers
Hope all that disasters stop soon. Meanwhile ganbare Japan! Game can wait I don't care. First come real life and after the rest. Heart with you all and the victim of the disaster.
My deepest corners and worries to the citizens of japan, and to the ones staying within their that aren't nationals. I have donated the 10$ to the Japanese red cross but I still feel I'd be more at easy if I lent my body and back to the recovery/rescue effort.
I fulling understand, and I wish more people did, why the servers went down. I am more concerned over the people of Japan, then I am about the media they produce. Some of my longest last friend ships on Siren were with Japanese players. If they could call or IM me to say that they're fine I would love that. With the power issues that are happening I know why they aren't using the interweb. But more then the general displaced citizens living in horrific conditions for the time being my hearts and thoughts are going to the ones working to advert a nuclear disaster in Japan.
to the employees SE: make sure your family and relatives and friends are safe, and be at peace with your choice to have the servers down as long as they need to be. May we hope that the things return to a some what normal state sooner then later.
PS if the from FFXI are monitoring this site Xohpius I miss you man!
Hmm.. Don't say something stupid like feed back centers are going to be working overtime when they are not even powered? Like making insensitive comments about your "own" needs and concerns when so many ppl are dealing with a crisis? Don't do something stupid, like making myself look like the biggest "arse" to ever post a comment on a forum? ~.^ gotcha! I'll try not to any of those things.
Yeah Kitykat jeeze... How dare you post your own opinion and feelings on a free public Forum. Lol (Sarcasm)
My thoughts are with you all, if I could go over to help I would; but i cannot, so I am donating to red cross for now.
Be strong! Take how ever long you need. People will just either learn to go outside of the basement or sit there and QQ.
Makes no sense someone would actually get mad because they *Had* to shut the servers down.
lolumad.
Anyway, Please take care Japan!!!!!
Looks like TEPCO is managing to get things under control again:
http://www.tepco.co.jp/en/index-e.html
Stating they've achieved cold shutdown of all 4 reactors. Now to focus on the containment issues, and hopefully things will turn around soon.
