I'll be sure to not let it happen again. While yes, I do have a life, I take breaks to sit down and relax which that's why I have FFXI to pass the time while my daughter naps or is self-occupied. I don't normally get online to tell people to get a life, I just had happened to get online tonight and read this thread and noticed people complaining about the game being down as if it's hurting them. This moron from that locked thread can go jump into an active volcano. 97+ countries either offered aide or gave aide during Hurricane Katrina... I may not have read down enough, but I was so shocked by their total lack of education. How do you post something so blatantly not true on the internet without using some search forum to do a bit of research. It took me 2 minutes to find the information and count the countries, and what those countries offered us. One person from Japan alone donated a million dollars to the red cross during our hard time.

SE obviously should have had an earthquake-proof power plant in their basement so they could have the servers online in the event of a major catastrophe in Japan, just so the players not in the catastrophe zone could continue to play.

Yea and don't forget enough diesel to keep it running for at least 6+ months pending a drawn out grid recovery. Hmm possibly a tank farm next door. Should be well within budget.

I'm originally from S. Cali, and went through many of the quakes including the Northridge one, and to the life of me, I can not twist my mind around what a 9 would be like. I'm now currently residing in the MidWest where my biggest concern is Tornadoes (Though the small quakes in Arkansas (1.4 to 3.5) and Oklahoma (3.2) shows there is no place you can go to get away from earthquakes)...My heart goes out to my fellow FF friends in Japan.
