SE can't force ISPs to fix their own crap unfortunately.. and that is where the problem lies. Best they can do is "encourage" ISPs that are having trouble to whitelist SE's servers. That is who you should be directing your complaints at.

Then it's the ISP's fault? Maybe you should check this thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...%28Petition%29
What I consider "crap" is the fact that SE placed the EU servers in CANADA. Sorry, I can't blame on my ISp for that...

Yes, in many cases it IS the ISPs fault. I get around 160ms to the NA/EU servers. I'm in Colorado. My ISP has crap for peering so to get to the servers I get routed all the way to California, then back up and over to Montreal. This is not something the ISP will change for you either, because they do it to save themselves money. Many people won't see this issue, and many will. Before someone says "get another ISP" you don't always have that choice, and even if you do, the choice isn't really a choice. The only other decent provider here is wireless, and that is horrid to play games on, a light rain and your connection dies. Then it's the ISP's fault?
